I highly recommend against that, Input. If you continue to open tickets on an issue that is considered resolved it can be considered abuse of our support channel.
It isn’t something that our Support staff would be able to “fix”, since it is not considered broken. At no point will they be able to artificially add levels to your character, nor would they have the ability to adjust how the Level Boost works.
I am sorry for what confusion this may have caused but level squish conversation was set for level 110 to be 45. The level boost provides a little bit of a boost and goes to 48. That is the way it was set and it not considered a mistake.
If you’d like to see a change made to how the boost works, or how the squish worked you are welcome to post in the General Discussion forum with your feedback or use the Submit a Suggestion option through the help menu in-game.
It is not considered a bug. The details of the boost and the level squish were provided weeks prior to the pre-expansion patch on Tuesday.
I had support fix a issue once that was not considered broken. If you don’t believe check my support logs. They even talked to their manager and got it pushed thru. 110 cannot equal 45 and 48. You are basically insulting the entire OCD community.
Did not have to be. I wrote out a real world example on why they should do it. Support said that is a good point then went and talked to manager and got it done. I was never rude and always tried my best to write well. One reason I have always given support A+ even if I dont like other parts.
I don’t see any kind of exception in your ticket history. The only subject with any volume of tickets appear to be about a forum action.
No, we are not. You are trying to apply math to something that isn’t really about math, it’s about decisions that were applied to two different systems. With the level squish each pre-squish level had an associated range and level for post squish. The level 110 boost isn’t being so much converted as it is being changed, much like it was when we converted the level 90 Level boost Tokens to level 100, or again to 110 as newer expansions are announced. In this case, the level boost is being converted to provide a level 48 boost.
If that were to change, Input, it would be from the Development side of things. I am telling you that regardless of your persistence, Support will at no point add levels to your character. Doing something like that isn’t a matter of getting manager permission, that is a Dev level application which would come as the result of a decision by them to change how the Boost works.
The level 100 and 110 boosts used to include items that you didn’t automatically get while leveling normally. Getting three levels from a the old 110 boost is no different.
You dont see the one about the character boost being used on the wrong race? I got a free race change after a 3 days cooldown.
You could resolve it by giving players who request a extra BFA boost. That is something I am sure you have access to add or remove. Old support like I said gave me a free race change.
No, sorry I don’t. That is an entirely different situation though. We actually have exceptions for those kinds of mistakes, it isn’t much of a stretch to think that a Game Master could have gotten approval for it.
Again, that is something you made a mistake using, that we could correct. This isn’t a mistake, this isn’t user error. This is how something works.
Or, you could understand that a 110 squish to a level 45 character and a 110 level boost converting to a level 48 level boost token are entirely different systems.
And there is no “Old Support”, please don’t try to sell that narrative. Some of us have been here for a very long time and frankly, that’s insulting. I can tell you that we actually grant a lot more than we ever have. In the “Old days” we had some very hard rules and unforgiving limits that we have evolved over the years.
His toons were level 110 before patch. I guess he didn’t apply the boost. They are talking to CS now so it’s is between those 2 and nothing the player base says will change that.
Sorry can’t. I do understand what you are saying. But 110 cannot equal 45 and 48. If it is left this way just says that the company cares more for people who pay for character boosts then those who play the game by leveling. Would you say that statement is wrong?
Wasn’t trying to insult you just referring to support from before current. Guess it made more since to me sorry for that.
You do not seem to, Input. You continue to treat the level 110 squish and the change to the previously names 110 Character Boost as the same thing. They are not.
Again, the level boost was changed to a level 48 Character Boost, it wasn’t “Squished”, to it. They do not convert in the same way.
I would. While you could purchase a level 110 boost from the Shop, it was actually included with all purchases of the Battle for Azeroth expansion as part of that purchase. Or, it was a 100 boost included with Legion that was changed to a 110. Or was a level 90 from Warlords of Draenor that was changed to a 100 in Legion and then a 110 in Battle for Azeroth and finally a 48 with Shadowlands.
100 boosts used to give players a level 3 garrison, while leveling normally required you to build it yourself. Getting three extra levels from a converted level 110 is no different. Arguing semantics will not change the Development decision.
If you want this to change - i.e. the boost only giving level 45 or level 110 characters before the squish to be level 48 after the squish - then you need to post in General Discussion, not Customer Support and not by making tickets. The Devs who made this decision (not Customer Support or GMs) do not come to the Customer Support forum for feedback or suggestions and the SFAs here are not liaisons with them.
Don’t spam tickets on this. Even changing the “reasons” each time. GMs don’t make the changes to the game. They didn’t make the decision about what level an old 110 boost converts to. They can not grant you levels you did not earn.
Because they used the boost before prepatch hit. A level 110 character (including ones from a 110 boost used before prepatch) got squished down to 45. The level 110 boost was changed to a level 48 boost, though.
Somehow, I get the feeling OP’ll be fighting until Blizz tells him to stop submitting tickets on the matter, then OP sends another ticket about it… and gets his entire battle.net account closed.
Unlikely. He’ll get a 24 hour suspension on his WoW license to start. If he comes back and continues pressing the issue, the penalties will naturally increase until the lesson sinks in.
Either way it supports the practice that throwing more money at the company gets you better perks. This basically says buy a boost play to level cap then return next expansion cause they only care about the quick profits.
110 is level 110. This is basic math. You can’t have it be adjusted to two different levels. In a 24 hour span one person could use it then another in the same 24 hours and get two different results. Is that fare or right?
