45 does not equal 48. If on the day before the change I used the BFA boost it would have converted to 45. But one day later its 48. Logic does not hold. Either the boost needs to be 45 or my character need to be 48.
Perhaps you might look at it another way. 110s convert to level 45, but the boosts âaccidentallyâ granted an extra 3 levels. But letâs not ask that the boosts be downgraded to 45s.
This issue actually came up a couple weeks ago and the moderator here went to ask for clarification from the development team. They confirmed that 110 boosts will become 48 boosts and 110 characters will become 45s. My speculation (based solely on this limited circumstantial eveidence) is that once they finalized the level squish for characters, they forgot to go back and adjust the boosts, so they left them with the extra 3 levels.

Nope either they give 3 levels or they take way 3 from the BFA boost. It has to be the same. 110 can not equal both 45 and 48.
It sounds like there is a tooltip error then?
No, this dude has a brain error
Youâre literally fighting over the difference between a dozen and a bakerâs dozen here my friend.
In the grand scheme of things, it doesnât matter much. There are bigger fights.
Donât make this the hill you die upon.
No, they were aware of it before the patch. They knew that a leveled player would be 45, but the boost granted 48.
But like most of us in this thread they werenât concerned with this small discrepancy.
Not if the tooltip on use says 48 (as I thought he stated), but itâs only supposed to boost to 45. Thatâs an error on Blizz part, but mainly tooltip.
Ya if it actually boosts to 45 then thats fine and is a tooltip error. But still need to be fixed.
Then post in Bug reports, QA doesnât come to the CS forum for reports.
But we dont know if its a bug thats the problem!
But their boost is giving them 45? This is confusing. Hopefully someone that actually works for the company will weigh in for them.
No one here can fix it, if it is broken.
Eh, maybe it was the other way around. If so, thatâs even better.
A player that already leveled to 110 being 48 SHOULD get the bonus levels for doing it WITHOUT the boost.
The player getting or buying a boost being 45 in that case is not entitled to anything. In fact, I would say they were just being ENTITLED.
Heh heh. Ok. But I really donât think youâre gonna win this one. And this is from someone who loves charging up that hill against Acti-Blizz. Ask any of the regular posters here. Some may even have found it a bit obnoxious for how hard I pushed for a clarification about the apparent conflict between the squish and the boost. But this is a hill that Iâd suggest going around. Heck, in the 34 minutes since you opened the thread, youâd probably have advanced from 45 to 47 anyway.
So Iâll just say good luck on your quest. But be polite in the tickets and when they tell you to stop, you need to stop. I was a little too relentless once with multiple tickets for a Hearthstone issue and they suspended my WoW license for 24 hours. With the new patch out, thatâs probably something youâd want to avoid.

- Level 120 Character Boosts will boost characters to level 50 after the pre-expansion patch.
- Level 110 Character Boosts will boost characters to level 48 after the pre-expansion patch.
This was posted by a Blue in another thread. I knew Iâd seen it somewhere.
BUYING a boost is better than BEING 110 already.
But OP is saying they used their boost and only went to 45. So maybe the boost is bugged? I think people are entitled to get what they pay for and for clear communication from the company they are paying. There is nothing wrong with people wanting communication.

But OP is saying they used their boost and only went to 45.

Why did my two 110 characters become level 45 yet my 110 boost says it for level 48?
No, heâs saying his pre-leveled 110s went to 45, but his boost grants 48, which was known ahead of time.
He wants his already established characters to get the 3 levels he didnât earn.
He didnât âpayâ for anything, and thus, isnât âentitledâ to anything.

But OP is saying they used their boost and only went to 45
Do you mean in the OP? If so, I think they meant that the level squish should have made them 48, not that the boost made them 45.
imagine spending the amount of time you did to create this thread and wanting to bother support over this issue when you could spend less time just actually playing the game.
l see. Thanks for the polite response! I thought he meant he used his boosts and it went to 45.
