10.2 button bloat and gameplay ease

I hope that in patch 10.2 those classes and specs will ease up on button bloat and reduce the bloat and not just the bloat but to ease the gameplay as well. So that a lot more people can play those specs and classes without those complexities and intimidating design.

I do hope that each iteration will reduce button bloat and reduce complexities in terms of how to play the spec and class. And make it so that it is easier to be understood by many and not just the elite or tryhards people.

Stop being repulsed by fun. Also explaining the song WILL get me banned so just think about it like a good time, when you’re feeling well and you are enjoying yourself for an entire season.

If I recall correctly, it’s where you spend months cheating on someone. And that’s the charitable definition.

So no, you can’t translate it without being repulsive and calling that “fun.”

Ah, the sweet bliss of ignore.

i’m still hoping somebody can provide a number for how many buttons is “too many”

Things make a lot more sense now.

Just play destruction warlock.

When I have to start binding things to my 12 button mouse, then I feel like it may be going a little too far, and I already cram 30 buttons into my keyboard.

However, I feel button bloat is a non-throughput button issue. For example, almost every class has a class heal, healthstone, and hp potion. Then you get into mobilities, trinkets (some aren’t macro friendly), defensives, CCs, and other utilities.

When almost 2/3rds of my buttons are not DPS related, I think that is a problem. The very 1st week of DF I was feeling the button bloat. Insisting this is due to a streamer’s influence is silly, because streamers are always weeks and months behind player opinion.

It’s not a streamer. For me, I jumped around mmo’s for a minute after quitting wow. Came back, and yeah. It’s crap.

in another of these silly threads, someone pointed out how easy it is to tell these are console players making this claim of bloat.

Controllers have buttons, keyboard do not.

yes, but usually when we start seeing multiple threads posted every day for a week about a single topic, that’s the explanation

That really only ever applied to Asmongold who doesn’t play WoW anymore.

I don’t know of any big WoW streamers that can influence GD nowadays.

You can find people posting about button bloat going all the way back to early 2022. Why its suddenly surging on GD, I have no idea. Maybe people are feeling more comfortable talking about it as more bring it up?

I stay away from unholy cause of all the buttons.

Although i play mw and hpally at times which are worse. But setting click casting on heals so other binds can be used on abilities makes it easier

I like rogue as a class just wish i could play it without all the maintenance buff crap.

Dusted off this guy as ret and lol dont even fill all the main action bars before running out of abilities

yawn, yet another streamer regurgitator and the 15th post in the last couple weeks about supposed button bloat.

Play a spec with less buttons and stop trying to take away others fun. It is ok if some specs are more complicated than others. Its amongst why people play them.

No one plays a spec because it’s complicated. That’s idiotic.

They play it because it has an engaging rotation. Complicated/engaging/eventful however you would like to call it. I used the OPs words to keep it in the same context.

I purposefully (and based on a conversation this very week with guildies, others do too) avoid specs with very little going on. Its why I was so against Demo changes and why I don’t play Destruction unless is clearly better for the fight.

but he still makes videos about it and gets people talking!

there’s at least one thread naming Bellular on the first page of the forum!
