Don’t think the anti “Button Bloat” crusade is going anywhere:

Button bloat and 20 button rotations makes picking up a new class extremely difficult

I’ve been playing my main for 15+ years. I know all the abilities and the rotation. No problem. But I recently felt compelled to try another class. So I decided to try out a warlock. I cant get my head around the rotation. I jumped on wowhead and this is how they described it Opener Rotation Precast Power Siphon - enabled through having Inner Demons spawning Imps prepull Precast Shadow Bolt Shadow Bolt Nether Portal Soulburn Grimoire: Felguard Summon Vilefiend Demonbolt Call Dreadstalkers …

Do devs not realize button bloat is a terrible design?

Yes yes, 0.01% of the population loves complicated rotations with 20+ buttons, but for 99.99% of the player base we absolutely hate it. Back in vanilla wrath, which is considered the best of wow with the highest amount of players somewhere in the 10 million range, my rogue had this rotation Mutilate, slice and dice, mutilate, mutilate rupture, hunger for blood, mutilate - envenom. Simple enough for even grandma. The class rotations were so basic that it wasnt even really a factor in a player…

Not implying anything, but a freshly rolled Classic DK (hidden background) hopped on the topic just after the one above:

10.2 button bloat and gameplay ease

I hope that in patch 10.2 those classes and specs will ease up on button bloat and reduce the bloat and not just the bloat but to ease the gameplay as well. So that a lot more people can play those specs and classes without those complexities and intimidating design. I do hope that each iteration will reduce button bloat and reduce complexities in terms of how to play the spec and class. And make it so that it is easier to be understood by many and not just the elite or tryhards people.

Those are the ones I remembered tripping over.
