Really ? Did you see anything on the PTR?
I really dont see anything changing anytime soon, but theres wrath classic
Why are so many people spamming the forums with this lately? Sudden influx of people that want to turn this game into a MOBA or ARPG?
This game would be boring if they made it any simpler.
There are lots of really good MOBAs and ARPGs out already. There are NOT a lot of really good MMOs out there with lots of unique skills and abilities.
For rogue, they are getting some 30+ buttons they need to press at a time.
they need to use shadow dance and ambush in normal rotations and maintain one vanish every 20 seconds just to do damage.
oh and all 4 covenant abilities are apparently being made baseline.
Everytime I create an alt, I end up quitting after spending 30 minutes organizing macros and buttons.
This game is an MMO(rpg)? I spend all my time in a queue to do any content related to progression.
It’s not decreasing to 4~6 buttons.
But see…
I was responding to someone a while ago, helping with DK rotation…look at this
In the burst:
-start only when the enemy has 10 death coil stacks;
-Assault - will automatically put 4 wounds on the target and increase Haste;
-Apocalypse - will burst 4 wounds at once dealing moderate damage and apply crypt fever;
-1 fastering strike to get two more wounds;
-outbreak;
-2 scourge strike to pop two more wounds and have 6 necrotic wounds;
-Blight, power up rune weapon, abom. limb, dark transform, defile, pull and Suffocate if the enemy manages to get out somehow…
dead coil all the time…with 10 stacks your damage will be very high (it’s good to always keep 10 stacks on your target regardless of the moment)
To master even more, you can use assault + 1 fastering and observe if you have 6 wounds on the target, then use apocalypse and 2 scourge strikes quickly, and start all the rest of the skills in sequence, and use death coil quickly… .Defile + 90% slow will help a lot for you to have time to handle all this.
Outside the burst:
You will always keep 3 diseases on the enemy and use 1 scourge strike (being necessary to get close for this) to make these diseases occur quickly, it really helps.
If possible, always have wounds on the target, so the scourge strike will cause more damage, so you move away and use death coil, if you have no runic, pull an enemy and try to get as much runic as you can, always staying safe. you can pull the healer, or other enemies that is not WW (if the WW is not focusing you then you can pull him, ofc…).
on average there are several moments, skills, buffs, debuffs, defenses on both sides, positioning, when to use what, why to use that skill, etc…
One of UDK’s problems is the renewal of deseases via Outbreak
Firstly, this wowhead print effect doesn’t even exist anymore, it’s just an empty button that applies diseases but has no interesting animation.
This is a skill that should be applied via another skill…
This could be via fastering strike (it already applies festering wounds…it could apply diseases too) or by destroying them via scourge strike, it would apply or renew the disease(s)
For UDK I think about this skill and maybe completely changing Army of the Dead - 8min CD is something surreal. They should have already reworked this skill to be like, summoning 1 undead every 30 sec, which lasts 10 sec, something like that.
Now, the interesting thing is this - I mentioned one or two skills from UDK…
…have you ever seen how many skills a Shaman enhance has? or shaman healer?
this seems…weird
the dev reworking both rogue and dh posts on the rogue streamer discord, he’s a very off character and all the changes make sense if you understand his philosophy.
If you want to play a basic 2-button class, Classic is there for you. The retail classes are already basic for 99.9% of the playerbase. The only people that should worry about min/maxing their rotation (high end mythic raiders / M+) aren’t the ones complaining.
The rogue discord is pushing back on it and providing feedback about the button bloat.
It’s kind of funny to me seeing so many people that haven’t even touched high end PVE call people bad players for wanting less buttons to press on GD, while the actual high end players are calling button bloat where they see it.
You do make some good points here. I mained Enh Shaman until this expac and my main PvP char is a Resto Shaman, so yes I definitely understand what you are getting at (its like keeping lots of spinning plates in the air to play optimally). That said, I enjoy that complexity, and while you make great points about some skills that would be better rolled into others, I don’t want to see much if any skill removals. I just feel it takes us down the same slippery slope we went last time with the pruning that made me get bored and stop playing for a long time.
Games like this should be a dance of sorts. There should be a large skill-gap between those who just smash buttons and those who really excel, with MMORPGs like this.
And that sucks, right? That is turning the game away from MMORPG land too.
Of course, M+ and raids don’t have queues…Are you talking about heroics and LFR? If so, I don’t think the game should be developed around that.
PvP is technically queued, but you should have a team for that.
Spotify play Moonlight by Kali uchis.
Those gaps do exist, and they exist independently of having too many or too few buttons to press.
Even if every DPS rotation was 5 buttons max, you’d still have people struggling to get anywhere in +20s or Mythic raiding because their difficulty isn’t determined by how many buttons you need to press.
What? Heaps of people lean towards the more complicated rotation/timing spec/classes while avoiding the lower just like vice versa.
I mean, that’s just a lie.
“Button bloat”?
How about “thread bloat”, posting threads about the same topic over and over?
I don’t enjoy Demon Hunter because it isn’t complicated
No its not people specifically don’t enjoy BM hunter or DH due to a lack of rotational risk/reward and look for a greater challenge while others prefer it.
