I highly doubt there will be a Tinker class next expansion. Blizzard will probably have no new races or classes for next expansion.
We have had so many bard hints since Legion, BFA, And WoD.
Cata hinted demonhunters like 3 expansions before. My bet is on bard.
As for my desired classes, I would place Dragonsworn at the top and Tinker at the bottom. But in terms of likelihood, I would place both at the bottom.
The Tinker will never be thematically relevant to an expansion - at least, not to any expansion with mass appeal. Goblins vs. Gnomes technological buffoonery appeals to a very small subset of the playerbase. It belongs on the periphery.
Having a random npc in some tavern emoting with a harp is hardly a hint. Dks and DH have been lore heavy classes since wc3 and monks were at least inspired from Chen in wc 3 as well.
There never been anything in the history of wow to support a bard. If they started to make their presence known more and their combat prowess recognized then sure. But at this point no way bard would be a class over tinker.
Did u not read the OP. That’s a pretty neat way to link tinkers to the main story.
Dude honestly I have no interest in tinker. It allwayyssss shows up in the forums but it sounds so uninteresting – like engineering but it’s a class?

Did you not play 8.3 they were in cahoots the entire story of 8.3 and worked together for the visions.
It’s a safe assumption that’s she remain part of his group especially when he’s trying to locate the isles which are more likely hidden via titan tech just like uldum was before cata.
You could jury rig playable Kobolds and Shadow Hunters into the Shadowlands if you wanted to. That doesn’t make that connection any less tenuous and contrived. It’s not a unified theme.

The night fae make jokes on what is a bard class. I have seen bards in every covenant sanctum, surumar, kul tiras, zandalar. Even in stuff like Ember Court. One of the heroes you can recruit in the Maldraxxan assaults is plainly a bard. I would say bard is a safe bet at this point.
We haven’t had a spell caster and bard is perfect for a caster dps/ healer and possible tank like etc.

I hope so. I’m so bored with the current classes and Tinker seems like it could be a lot of fun.
If the isles are indeed cloaked by titan tech but mother isn’t strong enough on her own to locate them, thus requiring outside assistance from the techiest people in azeroth.
That feels like a pretty good blend of tech and dragon isles if you ask me.
How?? New Classes always match the theme of their intro expansion. So how the heck are you gonna introduce necros or DR when not even SL did.
They were working together during the 8.3 storyline… They made it possible for us to dive into visions. Mother helped empower our HoA with draconic essences wrathion and the other dragons located. Again did you not play the campaign of 8.3?? Did you level up you HoA cuz it was gated behind HoA level

No other class has the priority Tinkers do.
It’s simple process of elimination. Biggest candidates are DR, Necro, Tinker, Bard(lol), and Dragonsworn
DR and Necro is not a chance in hell since 10.0 won’t be yet another death themed expansion. Bard is pure fan wishful thinking with next to nothing in development in warcraft lore when compared to Tinkers.
So that leaves Dragonsworn and Tinker.
Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if Dragonsworn are the next covenant like system. But still a chance they could be a class.
So ultimately Tinker has the best chance. Especially if you go by off of WC3 units.
But there’s also the possibility of Blizz going ‘Meh, too much effort’ and just continuing to not add new classes.
With recent developments and SLs overall reception, blizz is gonna need a huge comeback for 10.0.
I’d be amazed if they didn’t want to include a new class, especially as SL should have had one based on established patterns.
If they can tackle soulbinds, conduits, signature abilities and class covenant abilities then I’m sure they can channel that effort into a class instead of silly layered systems like that.
