10 levels and no stronger than the end of BFA

Except this is new. The legacy buff is not being applied. It has nothing to do with all the powers we had in BFA, or being weaker at the start of an expansion. At the rate our power is increasing this xpac, it will take us til the last raid tier totally decked out before we can beat Legion raids at the speed we were in BFA at the first patch. This is broken and no amount of “what don’t you understand about borrowed power” is gonna change that it’s not working correctly.

No, it has little to do with “borrowed powers.” It has everything to do with the stupid way they handle scaling.

It doesn’t matter what gear or abilities you have at level 50. You WILL have an easier time killing things then than you will killing the /exact same things/ in the /exact same places/ at level 60.

It’s easily one of the worst implementations of scaling I’ve -ever- seen in a game. For a billion+ gaming company, they are some lazy developers who only “improve” the game for themselves to make their lives easier. That’s the real problem. Has been that way since TBC.

I mean fair enough. My point is though we are so weak at max level in new expansions because we haven’t unlocked the borrowed power systems. Right now this game has what? 4 borrowed power systems? Imagine how many bs systems will be in the game in a year from now. BFA started with one and ended with three or four I can’t remember.

The scaling is wonky asl nowa days. Not to sure blizavision tested it enough before release.

Legion mobs did not keep scaling with item level up to 120 in BFA. BFA mobs keep scaling past 50 in power now. That’s new.

expansions dont expand anymore. they just replace whatever we had for 2 years with another set of temporary things.

It’s ridiculous how I deal LESS damage than 8.3 in old raids and blizz not saying anything about it is infuriating.

So for comparison, I just took a level 47 DH to Tanaan Jungle (WODs end game equal to a 60 going to Nzoth forces Ulduum/Vale) and 2 shot elites who were level 40.

This is what should be happening with 60s to 50 content and it isn’t.

Blizzard, please fix this now!!! or give us an update that you hear our pleas. Throw us a bone, any bone…

I am giving it till next patch for them to fix the auto mob scaling (level and ilevel wise) or else i am going to leave.

There is 0 reason for this to exist.

There is absolutely 0 point in us getting stronger if the mobs are getting stronger as well. In reality we are just seeing bigger numbers. (Although not even that, as everytime we are approaching big numbers blizzard squish us)

Its like earning a raise of 20% in your job on a 20% inflation economy. What is the point ??

At the moment, there is no real incraease in power, and for me this is off putting to the extreme.

^^ So much this, this is exactly how I feel.

Its not that. It is the scaling. Yeah the borrowed powers will make us stronger in both contents, BUT this is an issue entirely of the scaling.

They also need to get rid of the ilevel scaling in shadowlands, THERE IS NO REWARD IN BEING STRONGER, IF THE MOBS ARE ALSO GETTING STRONGER, JUST MAKE NEW MOBS.

Its like earning a pay increase of 20-30% on a 20-30% inflation economy. You earn more but spend more, whats the deal ?

Just seen this on Wowhead…

Oh boy.

Impossible! The Blizzard defenders (and that one green MVP who shows up in every scaling post) insisted that the reason we can’t do good DPS against BFA stuff was because we weren’t 60 yet! How could this be!?

I know right. So to all the peeps who tried to argue, go ahead and admit you were very VERY wrong. Not that anyone actually took you seriously anyway.

Give it a few more expansion and youll be soloing this stuff easy.

Yeh that’s how blizzard sees it but I don’t want that and a lot of people don’t want that and this has NEVER before been a feature of wow.

If blizzard want this then those mobs need to be level 60 and give 60 rewards and XP.
It’s not fair, they can’t have their cake and eat it too. Quick to nerf any benifit and refuse to see this which inconveniences us. They make me sick:

“paragon caches will have their gold rewards reduced to 10% of their current value when Shadowlands Season 1 begins in each region” (PATCH NOTES)

This is old outdated content. There is ZERO reason for this to be happening. This kind of crap makes me consider finally walking. I am sick of the tedium that Ion keeps ramming down our throats.

I like how you never quoted this abusive offensive language

That HAS to be a bug. There is no way that’s intended.

Alpha/beta people reported it, and this thread has been going on for close to a week, and now this wowhead article and blizzard have chosen to ignore all.

Seems to me they intended it and once again have been caught out in their lie.

Second and third time they have done something like this (flying, Legion ilvl scaling.)

Keep in mind we haven’t had a new talent tier in a while either.
Lazy, incompetent, me too devs.

I’m gonna go by Hanlon’s Razor and assume that it’s due to incompetence rather than malice. I’m not sure if I’m going to get Shadowlands yet…I reactivated for a month (after being gone for 3 years) to see how things go. Keeping myself locked at 50 until I get the BFA pathfinder achievements, just in case I do decide to get it and they haven’t fixed this yet.

Blizzard has ALWAYS ignored feedback on alpha/beta. They admit to doing so. And then when the same bugs are reported once things go live, they act really surprised. I still think this is a bug. If it was intended the mobs would just scale to 60.
