this is bull imo, if 99% of people liked doing dungeons you would just say “people already like doing dungeons, dont need rdf, case closed”
No you’re wrong. The fact that dungeons are a large chunk of the content while leveling and even now while they are trying to push Protocol Beta upon us and nobody likes doing them just screams that we need RDF.
Trolls/cowards like yourself are insufferable. Just here to get the attention you lack in real life instead of providing to a discussion with an open mind.
That’s copium. The person that first insisted upon RDF was the initial president of blizzard. And this was when era servers “classic” were first asked of him on a public forum. He said he wouldn’t want it because of lack of RDF and the other “fixes” such as bug fixes etc.
The community said they did want it though and they had to disagree with the concept of RDF being necessary/integral in order to get it. That’s why the same president that made the “you think you want no RDF but you don’t” later directly went back on his statement multiple times and was even the one to announce classic’s launch
This is much deeper than one guy, it was basically the head of blizzard at one point. you’re completely out of your depth if you think RDF will be put back in, no other change they’ve made will justify putting in the change that caused so much outcry in the classic/old world community in the first place. We only got Classic because we insisted RDF wasn’t necessary, imagine if we went back on that statement now. It’s not a good sign
The only plausible reason, at this point, is that they don’t know how to put RDF into the game. Like, there must be a bug or something and they don’t wanna tell us.
The poll was about what your favorite activity in WoW was. Not pick one and everything else is dogwater. Stating that Wotlk dungeons have a 1% approval rate or rate of participation based on this poll is such a disingenuous premise, because that is not the poll was asking.
i’ve logged in my alliance in sulfuras and i’ve tried to find a dungeon in the afternoom, clicked every dungeon on HC and only 1 group showed for HC but + and it lasted 40 mins spamming in general.
I’m waiting, too. I vastly prefer Classic to Retail.
I just wish they gave more love here, not sure what their deal is with the dungeon finder.
I just do not have the time to wait 5 hours for a group anymore like I’m sorry lmao.
In retail all I need comes from a vendor. Maybe a slot or 2 is crafted or a raid drop. but those are more applicable to final touch min/max in arena. I…don’t really don’t do arena so not a world ender lol.
Wrath I like for a better balance (retail I have face rolled to get big numbers in bg, the power creep is still there lol) and 120 on 120 WG has become really liked for me.
So I chose DF pvp. It would be the hail mary pass for classic devs get a hint to un-arena at least season 5 if not even season 6 weapons in season 7.
Or BLizzard will read that as DF pvp is better. and leave classic pvp in maintenance mode. It could go either way here. Due to mixed pole questions.
more like hopium. bc i dont wanna believe the reason is
server identities
gear consumption
remember they changed their tune when wrath was launching and said they didn’t want people to consume content so fast. what sense does that make compared to the ‘communities’ crap?
i dont think any of us had a say in it it’s blizzards doings so i was somewhat right lol.
also im not familiar with that guy because i wasnt here for vanilla launch. and blizzard says things all the time. we wouldnt of had classic if the players didnt keep pushing so we need to continue the push for rdf or something so they can change their minds again.
No, you’re not. Blizzard said they’d never release Classic or a redo of older servers and they said the reason that they wouldn’t do it is cause we wouldn’t want no-RDF even if we think we did, so they were just looking out for the players. It was an arrogant statement that was said in a very condescending way, and they later apologized for specifically because there was so much fan and media backlash over it. The same person that said it referenced it later and was the one to announce classic
you should be or you should familiarize yourself with it before dabbling into anything classic
No that would be a non sequitur. It’s basically like this. Blizzard says they’ll never release or develop a classic game cause it wouldn’t have RDF if they went back and that RDF is necessary, and say that we only “think” we’d want to go back to a time before RDF, but in actuality we wouldn’t want it or wouldn’t like it after experiencing it. Fans demand to go back and say that RDF isn’t necessary and that we’d better/fine without it. Blizzard caves and accepts.
So what do you want to tell them? That they were right and we couldn’t handle a no-RDF game or other designs like/surrounding it? That we were only going back for mindless nostalgia? That we needed all the modern features that retail introduced even if we thought we didn’t or wouldn’t?
That was never what classic was about. The only thing you’d be convincing them of is that they should have never made Classic and that it was a waste of time or a wasted effort, which they initially said it would be, because the game “improved” over time, especially after RDF. No one that wanted classic thought the game improved with time or after/with RDF, they thought the exact opposite which is why they wanted to go back.
Well it’s obvious that RDF is wanted and needed because absolute no one cares about Wrath Dungeons… granted it’s a bit late now, but that’s blizzard’s mo
I mean, even classic would’ve objectively had more low level dungeons run with RDF.
Instead what classic turned into was mage boosting in Scarlet Monastery for days and weeks on end.
Yeah, standing in the corner of the instance while someone pulls every single mob in there is the peak socializing we were all looking for from classic.
And that’s only classic, WotLK wasn’t even discussed at the time.
Let us have our game, you had yours and yours is still up and running while ours is being run to the ground by people like you.
