might wanna check your math…
only one person per faction can get 13k rank points per week and if you get 13k each week with decay it would still take 7 full weeks meaning you wouldn’t get the rewards till the start of week 8

The honor system was changed in 1.12 to give rewards to more people. For example, the Rank 14 requirement of being #1 was changed to 0.1%.

OP is unfortunately right on enough of the claims for this to be a real problem. The 1.12 honor blues actually are better than much of what Molten Core can drop, and even some of what you get in BWL, for select classes/gear slots.
Something ya’ll need to understand is that 1.12 alongside pre-AQ raid tiers is massive #changes. There pvp sets had completely different stats back when, balanced around what readily available.
Blizzard is literally releasing gear sets intended to compete with raiders in AQ40 gear, before AQ40 is even released.
This is completely whack.
You should be able to just snap it right up then, what’s the problem?
The problem is he’s right, and this has every player that loves pvp and hates raiding slavering over an impending and completely incorrect power imbalance, while posting trite and contrarian responses intended to downplay the severity of the problem, while knowing damned well what’s actually going on.
So you make something up and then post a source that shows that you dont understand the system you are bashing.
might wanna go through and reread that article cause it explains the system and 1 person gets 13k each week IF there are at least 167 people who are pvping on that faction.
Grand Marshal | High Warlord

Only top .1% of players can have this rank

Patch notes:
- The percentage of players that may reach ranks 6 through 14 has been increased.
Warriors don’t generally want to pvp with tanking gear. Shamans and Paladins tend to like pvping with specs that are not supported by their tier gear. Priests tend to favor shadow for pvp.
PVP healing in vanilla is a bit of an aquired taste. A lot of players get frustrated trying to heal through burst, or resent immediately being the priority target in every single group fight.
Generally the only classes that want tier gear for pvp are the pure DPS classes and dedicated healers. Dungeon blues are just better otherwise.
Why? They make excellent flag carriers.
This makes no sense.
Both teams need healers. There’s nothing aquired about that. They’re necessary to win.
Look, the devs appear to be making a real effort to give us a Classic that mimics Vanilla pretty well. Sure there are a couple thinks I wish were being done differently, but all things considered I am jazzed for what we are being given.
If crying about how the game is being set up is your style, then I suppose that’s your right. But I would have thought people returning to the Vanilla world after missing it for 13 years would display a bit more maturity. It is just a game. If you can’t have fun playing it, maybe you just shouldn’t.
Most warriors would rather just smash people with a two-handed weapon than carry a flag. They just have more fun that way.
Other players want healers. There is a lack of players who want to be the ones doing the healing.
I’m curious. At what point did you decide to deviate towards “what’s fun” and away from “what’s good” as the basis of your argument? When you realized you were wrong?
Around the same point that you started arguing the usefulness of raiding gear for pvp, in a thread where you started decrying the imbalance of pvp gear in pve.
You seem to be misguided. This thread is about the viability of using PvE gear in PvP.
Are you also going to complain about devilsaur gauntlets and leggins being BIS from the start until naxx?
I mean you don’t have to step into the raid and you got this powerful items that win over pieces from raids until naxx by a landslide
" [1.12 PvP Gear - Overtuned for BWL]"
Guess you got me. My bad.
Nah, this thread is about making a mountain out of a mole hill, incorrectly quoting articles, manufacturing facts, and continuing to press an already invalidated point.
Congratulations on replying to a title.
Here’s reply #8
And here’s the OP
This thread is embarrassing.
