Retail AV is 7 expansions past 1.12 why are you comparing them? You are making weak arguments.
And somehow trying to make the case that 1.12 av is the exact same as modern wowâs av isnt?
But.
Youâre forgetting.
AV has been changed dozens of times since 1.12 and IS NOT ANYTHING like current retail AV.
AND
AV has always been a zergfest. Once people started listening to strats and getting their BS together games started being played in 2-3 hours IF your team listened and 24+ hours if both teams were on point.
The thing yâall are forgetting are the MULTIPLE WEEK LONG AVâs that raged for many moons before the NPCâs were thinned out and there was a half dozen less objectives to grab on the map
Posting achievements proving that retail AV can be done in less than 6 minutes
I think youâd be hard-pressed to find a group that could do that achievement right now. The NPCâs in BfA AV scale.
Please stop, thatâs the hinge of his narrative.
No, see the problem in this thread is when someone comes in and starts calling the other posters that disagree with Tendielords
Actually I never specifically called anyone that. If you chose to identify it to yourself thatâs your own problem. I just pointed out the unusual similarities between Tendielords and uncomprimising complainers.
Edit. And if blizzard caved to the screachers, youâd have a whole other group of screachers.
I sure am glad we didnât waste any effort campaigning for classic for years. Or more that 4 content release phases. Or precautions against loot trading in dungeons.
And somehow trying to make the case that 1.12 av is the exact same as modern wowâs av isnt?
It pretty much is. Without NPCs being threatening, the BG just gets zerged because itâs easier to push. Though, if memory serves, I think retail is actually more enjoyable than 1.12 was, simply due to the fact that Blizz recently buffed the NPCs in the 40Ms. Just the regular flag guards in AV hit for like 20k a piece, or something on those lines.
And furthermore, defending your General actually matters, because the General can now be kept alive. Such wonât be the case in Classic, if we get AV with all of its nerfs.
Itâll be basically what it was from the end of Vanilla through, what, like WoD? Legion? Where it was just cap a few towers, go smash the boss for 30 seconds? Easy win. I remember back when you didnât even need to take down the towers, because the bosses were so weak. All you needed was a tank and a healer.
Jawah if they donât give you 1.5 AV will you still play the 1.12 and enjoy your time in it?

Honestly? For a bit, yes. I will play Classic. Iâll level my Paladin, get my professions done, do all the raids, and definitely do some PvP every now and then. But I wonât take PvP seriously, which would ultimately be what causes me to leave the game. Itâs all that ever really mattered to me in WoW, aside from the lore ofc, and if it isnât good, then I just wonât play it. Iâll give it a try, and Iâll enjoy it at first, for sure, but if it doesnât have any long-term enjoyability, I wonât continue doing it.

People arent going to defend their general. They are all going to go zerg the opponents general.
Which was also the basis for the massive amount of QQ posts pre 1.12 from the alliance about the path they had to take and how it was longer than hordes.
Hate to tell but thats the way the game has been played for years and the way it will be played
No AV in Vanilla was 15 minutes, unless very rare.
In the end they are all going to play Classic and enjoy their time, regardless to what version of AV Blizzard gives.
Honestly? For a bit, yes.
K Iâm done here. Point proven.

And thatâs why AV was completely blacklisted when people would queue for BGs. The main reason itâs not blacklisted anymore? Because blacklisting was disabled. Just in Legion, I remember trying to queue for AV, and having to wait literally 45 minutes sometimes. Those were the most extreme cases, as most queues would pop somewhere in-between the 20-30 minute mark, but itâs still worth acknowledging that it happened.
Fortunately, queues arenât that long any more. Though, that could be due to the changes to Isle of Conquest, and to a lesser extent Alterac Valley, as well as Wintergrasp being added in as an Epic Battleground option. Also, it probably helps that I play Alliance, as well as now that Horde players actually know how to play the Epic Battlegrounds, they actually queue for them.
Oh and that Epic Battlegrounds got their own tab, for players who actually like them.
Not mad whatsoever. Making claims like you did while resorting to âdog ate my original accountâ is amusing more than anger inducing. It is what it is.
Not while it was relevant. But it would be now that folks know how to exploit it
SO.
Youâre saying RIGHT NOW.
Just because they arent giving you 1.5 AV but 1.12 which was streamlined to not last multiple days/week long⌠Youâre saying the ENTIRE aspect of PvP for the game is going to be âunfunâ to you and you wont stick around and keep PvPing and playing AB, WSG and World pvp?
I wouldnt want you on my pvp team anyways XD

âBanstick turned my original account in to confettiâ is more like it⌠Farming gold exploits in cata did it to many people.
Dont know what an epic battle gound is.
Legion has pretty much guaranteed that i will never pay for an expansion again
People argue about the dumbest things.
No one is even going to be playing AV for a good few months.
Edit: didnât mean to reply to this person in particular, donât know how that happened.
