a blood elf posting this
lmao if the faction brained belf posters had any integrity the lot of you would reroll orcs
Remember that Lor’themar tried to quit the horde twice, when you start getting ready to whine about Midnight making him a neutralboi

Yeah anyone but that traitor, I’d even take Lor’themar despite the fact he wanted to join Alliance in mists till Jaina culled the sunreavers from Dalaran. If Baine becomes warchief I’m hosting a BBQ and serving traitor burgers as yeah no…he tries to sit in that throne he dies… I refuse to work for that excuse of a chieftain. I mean hey I’d happily accept Cairne as warchief if he got brought back as a DK for the job but…idk if they can as Tauren cremate their dead…and it might make cry baby tantrum thrower Baine upset. Far as I’m concerned Baine’s lucky I haven’t pushed him off the edge of Thunderbluff for his nonsense. If we get a new warchief can we also replace Baine as tauren cheiftain with someone better fit for the job?

Okay since you apparently don’t understand the difference.
The Alliance is literally what the name suggests, an alliance of independent nations working towards the same goal.
The Horde meanwhile is supposed to be one clan united under one chieftain. Joining the Horde means joining the clan and swearing fealty to the chief. When you join the Horde you are surrendering your sovereignty in exchange for the Horde’s resources and protection, which depending on your situation can be a REALLY good deal. The original leader still administrates their lands but they and their people answer to the warchief now. This created a sense of unity that was nonexistent in the Alliance. Only the Forsaken have been known to openly defy the warchief and neither Thrall Garrosh nor Vol’jin actually liked the Forsaken so they turned a blind eye to their affairs for as long as they felt like they could get away with.

Literally cancer, two expansions that caused irreparable damage to the game and its population and that strictly existed to peddle wc2 nostalgia. Both are so incoherently written that it rapidly becomes obvious that the only real war was in the writers’ room.
You can keep this trash. Both times it took a neutralcraft expansion to staunch the bleeding (Legion and DF)
I see you kept out the Vanilla one. It was just to show you this horde existed for a long time beyond your arbitrary date.
The vanilla trailer is the wc2 fanboys at bliz dumpstering most of the good things about WC3 and shackling its corpse to their pvp fetish.
btw Legion also had it’s war in it. Not as neutral as your trying to claim.

Of all the Horde leaders they’ve killed, why is Baine still around

Because he meets the blandness quota.
That’s why they had to get rid of Gallywix too. His witty dialogue and goofy antics made the game too much fun for Danuser’s liking. Meanwhile Gazlowe spent all of BfA slowly sanding off his edges until he was just boring enough to be part of the Horde Council.

I understand just fine, but the warchief typically hasn’t wielded their power to micro-manage the individual kingdoms in WoW.
Even Garrosh didn’t get involved when the Grimtotem took over Thunder Bluff, opting to let the Tauren handle their own stuff.
So wanting them to go back to having a warchief comes off as “they should have one because they’ve always had one”. It seems extra silly because the Horde having a supreme ruler who isn’t to be questioned has led them to ruin several times now.
Which would make the Horde just seem stupid if they went “I know this literally never works out for it, but maybe this time will be different!”.
You say that like the hand of the author wasn’t entirely visible both times that happened. It’s not an inevitability of a flawed system, it’s bad writing.
Heck if absolute rule is automatically doomed to fail then why are all the other Warcraft autocracies still standing? Humans, Night Elves, Tauren, Gnomes, Trolls, Blood Elves and Worgen all live under societies with unelected rulers who hold absolute power over their subjects.

It’s a bizarre fantasy of the hardcore factionbrained on horde that the warchief should be absolute ruler of all horde members even though half the core races are explicitly there as allies of convenience
I guess the fact that two races dipped during Mists is lost on them.
I really dislike Gasblow, and I’m a goblin fan. What they did to this poor goblin is unforgivable.

You say that like going back to a warchief and just magically making it work out for them wouldn’t also be bad writing.
Like it or not those events are canon, and the Horde have a history of a single supreme ruler not working out for them(even before Thrall’s Horde, this was the case).
At this point there’s not much reason for the Horde to look at it all and go “you know what, maybe this time it will work”. It’s just wanting a warchief back for the sake of having a warchief back, without offering much reason as to why that should happen other than “because they used to have one”.
Being Horde feels ridiculously out of place in this expansion.
I mean, I had to do a quest that required me to play games with human children.
And we have Dwarves part of our faction now. What happened to faction identity?

Garrosh was the last true Warchief and the last I’ll accept. Say what you want but he got things done and single handedly laid out a vision and paved the way to it.
He was an orc’s orc and he lived and died for the horde and his horde.
He should be remembered for what he did, and not what the whispers of Y’Sharaaj caused him to do.

The Danuser era saw faction identity destroyed. The playerbase drifted to such low numbers during Shadowlands that they had to make DF the expansion of Koombayah so the remaining players could find groups by demolishing a core tenant of the games history.
I’m happy Metzen back but a lot of the damage has been done already and it’s not easily reversible. They can’t exactly revert cross faction guilds and groups… unfortunately

I’m sorry your majesty. I wasn’t aware that I wasn’t allowed to post my opinions or feel a certain way just because I rolled BE and chose to post on a BE character.
I haven’t said a single thing about Midnight or Lor’themar like ever, so don’t drag me into this.
