It would appear that Thrall is going to take that position. He may be a defacto war chief but he will probably be calling the shots.
I don’t want a “de facto” Warchief I want an ACTUAL Warchief.

Then Anduin would have no place.
Garosh and Sylvanas were set up so people connect to Anduine.
They even killed varian off and handed the emotional trauma to players.
Now everyone is so happy that anduine can take two steps without crying on someone’s shoulder.
Anduin the new anduin we may need to see how he handles the horde and alliance.
He is more protective of humans. So we may have a bone we can pick there.

I seriously can’t believe how bad this was, when:
- his sole claim to being actually irredeemably evil was essentially strip-mining, and we allow Goblins in the Horde and
- evil power source = evil, really, when we have warlocks?

The problem is they got rid of the Hordes strong characters. Who do we actually have left? Lor’themar, to me, seems to be the last strong racial leader. He’s not particularly powerful but he’s strong willed.

I don’t think they’re as different as you’re suggesting here.
Especially since they’ve always run their own individual nations anyway. Even if Thrall went back to being warchief, it’s not as though he’s gonna tell the Forsaken how to manage Lordaeron.
Even Garrosh’s orders largely amounted to “don’t use the plague”.
Realistically there would be disagreeing, but realistically there should be on the Alliance too. There mostly isn’t because this isn’t a story that goes hard on political intrigue so the writing demands that they just agree.
That would be so amazing.
