why does the option for female warriors, gay characters, trans, etc, bother you folk in the first place? it shouldn’t. it gives people characters to relate to, look at, rp as, play as that makes them happy. I said option because it’s quite clear that at this point there will be options to have your units or heroes or both male, female, or even etc.
If you’re bothered because its costing you a tad bit of nostalgia, ask blizzard for the option to disable enemy skins/modifications. You could even ask for the option to enable the use of your own skins/modifications on enemy units.

Don’t be mad that they added a female DK. It makes many people happy to have the options to choose what they want. Be mad that they havn’t talked about the features mentioned above.
These features are essential for the nostalgic crowd and everyone else to get what they want.
Probably same reason why people on the Overwatch forums where upset at soldier being gay. Even though it was added lore (that was hinted at a while back) people dislike any sort of change, even if that change has no real effect on gameplay. Its mostly a symbolic dislike.
Personally I find it silly but people are entitled to their opinions.
If there’s an option, then there shouldn’t be any complaining. More options are great. People want female DK? Great. But there are also people who want a male DK. There’s a connection, a lot of fond memories. I don’t understand how people cannot grasp that.
Death Knight is my favorite hero besides the Dark Ranger. I wouldn’t want a male Dark Ranger replacing the female. If people can’t be bothered to understand why some would be upset, then why should those people care about what you have to say?
Besides, is there even an option? Where’s the screenshots of Jaina, on a horse, in a custom melee game? Or Thrall? Or Uther? If it was clearly confirmed that, yes, you can choose your hero skins, they could nip all this backlash in the bud.

Why stop with OverWatch? I hope there is raining gay heroes in Warcraft. We could even have new abilities, like an exclusive DLC gay power. We know peons aren’t gay, if you click on them they say “Me not that kind of orc!” BUT it does indicate that there are gay orcs. So who knows maybe we will see a crossdressing tauren chieftain or maybe some furry troll bat rider.

The problem is that there is no option.
uh that is the purpose of having a creator. That’s how it works. I don’t see how anybody can keep developers accountable for not creating a game that is ‘perfect’ in their own eyes. It’s impossible to satisfy everyone.
A female Death Knight is completely normal in my eyes.
But i will mention that its like why ? why do it ? i don’t see a reason to.
there is def no reason in lore since all the original risen DK’s were Paladins and all of the warcraft 3 lore paladins were males.
Second of all, most of the population is used to the male Death Knight.
The way i see it, Blizzard… instead of wasting money on making the genders of male and female available. they should simply get along with Reforging what the original asset models are and using up that money in other more important places instead. its only logical.

hey guys, we’re Reforging all the original models, and leave it at that. no one would have even thought about anything else beyond that. its just that simple. but because they sent ahead and said oh no we want to make male and female variants of everything now these discussions are in place.
And i mean hey, not like its bad, more model options for custom maps and hopefully more setting options to change to the exact model we like in melee.
But i wanted to state that i would have personally preferred if they spent that money on somewhere more important instead.

Yeah, those are not real statistics. A simple google search shows that studies revealed that (at least in america) 1 in 10 and 1 in 20 people identify as homosexual (not even factoring in the other “non-normals”)

It seems like there are a few people here that should really check out a pride event. Even if you are straight, it’s actually a lot of fun, everyone likes you, and sometimes you can get some free stuff. And, something about a gay dude giving compliments I kind of enjoy. Makes me feel attractive.
Where i’m from this isn’t normal in the slightest, but i’ll do one thing and cover up the first part of my post under a line like so. i guess its only the right thing to.
