Yeah, I agree, I wanted to see the new version of the story, the old game is still there, if I found it inferior to the original game I’d end up playing that version whenever I decide to replay the campaign, now it’s just… why even bother with the campaign at release? I played it recently because I wanted to have it fresh in my memory for release so I could make a comparison between them, not to play the exact same campaign with better graphics
They didn’t do all that for SC:R. They added a Carbot skin for additional money. You’re upset about a campaign when you’re going to get a World Editor with up to date graphics. Dude, you’re perspective on what 40 bucks is worth is disgustingly overpriced.
I also wanted a remastered version of the campaign… I really hope they remaster it even if they are not going to change the lore behind it. If its a carbon copy with the new models… That would be disappointing…
Well, we’ll probably find out soon!
Just a couple minutes till the panel starts.
my opinion the project is going to be remastered … just falls promises with very high thoughts from our sides.
i see if they will go the direction they must return the cost to old, i don’t know, but i feel that it will not be awesome… i am not sure…
upcoming days will prove many things about that…
If this is just a remaster, just call it WC3: Remastered, why call it Reforged when it’s clearly not?
So, 1 year of silence for this ? Hard to describe how I am disappointed. 30$ HAHAHAHA
Even the big and main character of Battle of Azeroth like Saurfang is not going to be in reforged such a shame.

@Stalker In the name of Kil’jaeden, stop spamming this…
*many
I paid for W3 Reforged, not a W3 Remaster.
It’s literally a remaster.
It’s not.
Campaign maps are still getting changed to resemble how they look in WoW. We’re just not getting any scenes of Arthas and Jaina banging in the woods or Sylvanas doing something that completely throws off the flow of the story.
Take another half year and make it better as you promised last year Blizzard!
I’m a massive fan of the original WC3 and love that campaign to death. But I was hyped for this because I was excited to see a slightly altered take on the same story and characters. I’m really disappointed it’s not part of the game but even more disappointed that it took Blizzard until now to announce so. Your game is only weeks away from launching and you only mention now that it will no longer come with one of the big selling points you initially announced? That’s pretty crappy.
Even if you weren’t a fan of a campaign with changes, surely you can realise this information should have been dropped way sooner.
They redid the graphics and kept the rest the same and priced it for $15.
They are now doing the same for Reforged, adding some technical updates along the way. What would you price that? $40?
And if they cut the cutscenes from the campaign and keep it exactly the same as before, you think its worth the same price? I call that a bait and switch if this is true.
I think most people complaining here need to understand that when company decides to remaster or remake ANY classic game, they have to be VERY careful to choose between a remaster or a remake…
Both have their perks and negatives, but imho its clear that most Warcraft III fans wanted a graphical/visual remaster, not a remake of the story to please WoW players. While ofc it would have been nice to have the OPTION for everyone to choose between the new and the old voice acting and such, if they really had to choose between the two, Im glad they decided to respect the fans of the original more than try to please anyone new to the game.
However if they also decided to scrap their plans of remaking the ingame cutscenes, thats far more disappointing for all of us ofc. Thats something they definitely should have used more time/delay the game in order to make remake those cutscenes like they did with Stratholme cutscene.
My suggestion to Refroged team is (what some others have said already), release the multiplayer first AND take all the time you need with singelplayer campaigns. That would work best for everyone.
So you reply to me saying it’s literally a remaster and then you say the only thing being changed are the games looks on maps
You know, like what a remaster is, see: Starcraft
I agree, the #NoChanges and #WeListened that they are trying to put out is unacceptable, if they need to delay the game then so be it. But I want what I paid for - a reforged warcraft 3.
We all want Reforged not a re skin junk. Delay the game if it necessary.
SC:R was essentially an up rez of the game to HD resolutions as far as graphics are concerned. Reforged however features new models, animations, spell effects etc. which means more work and effort was put into this graphical face lift than was in SC.
Now you can make the argument that you dont think the work done in reforged is worth the price tag and are certainly entitled to that opinion. However trying to claim that SC:R and reforged are the same thing or even similar is just an outright lie on your part.
