I still prefer Warcraft 3 Arthas over Current Arthas Voice Actor in WOW.

What a lot of people seems to be missing is that they will be making smaller changes instead of bigger ones. They mby wanted to shift focus here and there.
This doesn’t mean they won’t touch the campaign at all. But the veered from doing it more than necessary. Let’s see what kind of changes they have created! You are drawing a conclusion that they won’t change the maps and scenarios. THEY WILL, this is about the story and they will probably do minor changes to that story.

I don’t know how to break the news to you but all their lore is under the same umbrella because they’re all part of the 25 year ongoing Warcraft series.
Also people can be a fan of multiple games. The only barriers between them are ones you draw because of personal bias.
One’s a different game and covers different lore and events.
As the Forum Overlord with the Biggest Post Count™, I decree that Vanvan can stay because it’s refreshing to see other opinions for once despite people trying to shout/mock them down.
I don’t see how this is that big of a deal. We’re really gatekeeping because of stuff like that? I never used the original forums either but I still played Warcraft 3 on release.

Thanks for the more balanced view, that restores my faith in this forum a little bit! Besides that, I am a long time warcraft player. But that hardly should matter. Especially when we are talking about the campaign which is mostly narrative. Even WoW players are invested in the warcraft story and love the old lore just as much as folks here.
But I think it would be nice to see consistency between the games. And they wouldn’t have had to change the overall plot to make that happen.

I am glad that the beta release is bringing new folks around because it’s genuinely refreshing, critical or supporting, to see people commenting about stuff. Maybe even stuff like visual details I didn’t think about or notice.
Sorry. If you’ve ever had World of Warcraft installed on your computer, if you’ve ever looked at even a box of it in a store, read an article about it online… you’re a WoW player and not a “real” Warcraft fan.
Not just that either. The MMO players that maybe were always on the edge of trying older stuff out that they never have and Reforged can be something to push them towards that. And if they enjoyed the actual gameplay mechanics from wanting to see and play through the story, they might go onto the ladder. Or nose around in the mapmaking scene. You know. Help populate the community/communities.

Blizzard: “We run out of time, we can’t retcon the story line. Copy/paste the campaign, put the new models on it, work a bit on the cutscenes, a bit on lipsing. We give them for Spoils of War Edition plus an Overwatch reward as well, which wasn’t announced last year so we can shut the critics. Joaquinuve, my friend, there truly is no need to divide WoW fans from us as if they are not Warcraft fans. I want to play a Warcraft RTS. WoW is not a RTS, and that’s why I’m here. The campaign revamp would have allowed the old-school, RTS Warcraft universe to be accessible and more appreciated by the new fans drawn in by WoW.
In other words, a revamped campaign would have increased WC3’s popularity even more.

Yeah if this is the case, the 1 i saw at blizzcon 2018 was blowing my mind and i wanted to see more but if they are changing this because of #nochanges and they will still have the classic game then im joining you. This is totally nonsense and a scam

You could play SD WC3 if you want no changes. You can’t play WoW for new cutscenes in WC3.
Theres no reason Reforged is worth $40 price tag on the basis of graphics.

Graphics, Ladder Overhaul, balance changes to shake up the stale bread box we have, new maps, new voice acting, race skins and add all the other stuff you earned by just pre ordering.
That’s not worth 40 bucks for a game you love? They’ve based two IPs off of WC3. This game is going to get love and you’re here complaining about a new campaign to make WoW make sense.

WC3 Reforged’s campaign is a new RTS campaign, period. If we are missing on it, it’s a terrible tragedy.

They did all that for SC:R for $15.
We are not getting new voice acting. Some Race skins are extra cost. And frankly balance changes are something that doesn’t affect me since I mod and play custom maps.
This is a $25 game if anything. And thats prolly what I would pay if and when it goes on sale.
