We got scam ( Evidence )

And this is why Blizzard should never announce a game while it is still in development. They should wait until it’s almost finished to announce it.

The thing is, from that Blizzcon Demo, it gave the impression that it was like 60-75% finished.

And yet it clearly was not. Their games have NEVER been finished at announcement, not for the last how many years anyway. Not since the first BlizzCon for sure.

Whenever they announce a game, its contents are always subject to change before release. Why are people still not catching on to this?

World of Warcraft had a lot of content that got scrapped and released later as expansions.

Northrend and Outland was gonna be there. But they were nothing like the current version. Outland was gonna be just Hellfire Peninsula and Northrend was just gonna be Icecrown.

Yup, I’m aware of that.

Essentially Outland and Northrend would have been more true to the original lore had they gone with that approach, too. I mean, Classic WoW and WC3 were actually in development at the same time, but WC3 came out first because it takes longer to develop an MMO than an RTS game.

Yeap, but those things “its done when its done” are long gone it seems…this is no longer the good old Blizzard that we knew of, who would be very careful about the quality of their games and not release them before they were happy about their quality and in some extreme cases even decide to cancel the games alltogether if they were not going to work.

But the people responsible for that kind of unwavering quality are now all gone from Blizzard. All the key figures behind original Warcraft III (aside from art director Sam Didier) have left Blizzard and I think all the key founding members of Blizzard Entertainment have left as well.

It really is a huge damn shame how we can come down to this…Blizzard, Bioware, Bethesda, Bungie (atleast to some degree), all the big “Bs” are simply not the same kind of best of the best developers that they used to be

Nope. Allen Adham still works for Blizzard. He rejoined them a couple years ago. He’s not in an executive role though.

Ye well almost everyone then…and certainly not any of the old members are in the leading role anymore aside from Didier, but his responsibility is obviously just the art department and even he wasnt involved in any way with Reforged from what I understand…

No, I get what you’re saying, and it’s completely valid.

The Blizzard we knew and loved is dead. RIP Blizzard Entertainment, 1994-2005

(2005 because that’s when the downhill slope actually started)

To me it ended after 2010.

Catacylsm and Starcraft 2 were the last of old Blizzard for me.

Fine, if we’re going to look at it that way, for me it ended with Warlords of Draenor and the whole “no more flight ever again” announcement they had to walk back because the forums imploded and subscriptions got cancelled.

I was one of those cancelled subs.

Their cop-out “compromise” really rubs me the wrong way, too. Blizzard of today spites its customers.

Its definitively Diablo 3. Because not even gaming Youtubers covered Blizzard games anymore since Diablo 3 unless they were dedicated Blizzard fanboy channels.

Angry Joe made a review of Starcraft 2 and loved it, Diablo 3 he hated it and then never reviewed a Blizzard related thing again.

Ye aside from Hearthstone (that Ive played almost every day since 2014) the last games that felt like “good old Blizzard” for me were Cataclysm and Starcraft II as well. In many ways Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void felt to me like the final farewell to good old Blizzard cause it was after that when so many of the key people started to flee Blizzard…some had ofc left even earlier than that, but I think it was around (or shortly after) that we really started to see flee of most of the key figures that were left in Blizzard. Mike Morhaime was obviously the last one who left last year.

Like I honestly doubt that after Starcraft II trilogy we are ever going to see another major triple A RTS products from Blizzard again. I think Activision-Blizzard has them focus just on the most profitable games/franchises , which are Wow, Diablo and Overwatch + mobile games on top of them.

I would be very surprised to see Starcraft III let alone Warcraft IV from them as long as someone like Bobby Kotick is leading Activision-Blizzard and pulling the strings.

The burning question on my mind right now is what does the DRM look like for Reforged? If it’s that “30 days offline then you need to log back in to remind us you bought the game just as if we were using Denuvo” BS that’s been going on since StarCraft 2 came out, then I don’t want anything to do with Reforged even if they fix it.

I do think that Diablo 4 has a 60-75% chance of being the turn around game for Blizzard.

Overwatch 2 will sell regardless.

Both of those games will likely sell extremely well (unless Blizzard completely drops the ball with Diablo IV), because Diablo III and Overwatch are in my understanding the most profitable games for Blizzard aside from World of Warcraft ofc.

So it was honestly no big surprise that they announced Diablo IV and Overwatch 2 last year, like said Activision-Blizzard will let them only focus on products/games that will bring most amount of cash and thats why also something like WC3: Reforged was treated as “2nd rate product”

Blame World of Warcraft for making Blizzard make all there games require a connection.

Blizzard was practically the driving force that pushed Online Gaming to the Mainstream.

Oh, I do. Believe me.

I wish WoW had failed. And this is coming from a guy who used to love it.

With net neutrality being gone, online-only gaming as the norm going forward is a VERY slippery slope, not just for the consumers but also for the industry as a whole. Not to mention that online DRM of any kind is effectively a kill switch that makes your games inaccessible when the developers decide it’s not worth their time (or money) to keep active anymore.

There is a sucker bornn every minute. It’s why Blizzard gets always with releasing crap games.
