The Gender Outrage

This is a really good point.

Source please.

Waaah! Waaah! If I can’t have what I want, no one can!

Actually no there is never an instance where the lore explicitly states orc, troll, dwarf, human etc, warriors are exclusively male. Literally nowhere.

With the Night Elves it very much is written down in the game’s lore. They’re the only instance in lore where (prior to WoW’s retcon for sake of not locking classes based on sex in night elf characters) a person’s sex and how it relates to their role in their society are mentioned.

The Grubby’s interview with devs. They stated that the skin you get will be random. As for the portraits there was an article on wowhead with all of them datamined.

Good point overall, more stuff added, no gender swaps happening.

Wow. Even gender’s an issue. I have an idea: just play the classic WC3 and leave the Reforge the F alone, since y’all don’t really wanna change a damn thing to the Reforge. Blizzard feared if the public opinion react as if they’re just gonna buy the same game with different skins… Meanwhile, y’all made them cut almost 50-80% of the promised content that was supposed to happen (i.e.: cutscene, supposed new UI, etc. etc.).

I don’t mind a female DK, remember Lady Blaumeux ? My only issue is that I don’t like the model, it’s attempt at DK Sonya from HoTS, but this one seems less muscular and more slutty to me. Doesn’t strike ma as a strenght hero. Also male DK is Arthas instead of generic DK, which had a different face and runeblade.
Overall, I like the idea of getting both male and female units at random as long as the models suit ther role.

They honestly should have continued the originally planned cutscene. I say, if the classic players wants the O.G. cutscene style, then that option should be possible. Since what we totally forgot is that Blizzard also promised us that there will be an option to transit the graphics to classic from Reforged - something like that.

@Agarknox

The mindless drivel of REEEEE INCELS vs. REEEE WAMYNZ is going to continue forever. Theres no getting away from it. But just demanding that the WC3 Purists just go back to the classic and stay there is unfair as their wants are just as important as yours. You will end up playing into this cycle that typically gets thrown around in arguments between communities and social justice mobs.

“We demand to be included in your space to make it more inclusive -> We demand you change this space to our liking and ban what we perceive as offensive -> We demand you be kicked out of this space we ‘created’ since you offended us. -> Lol if you hate us why not just go make your own space.”

But, look, the classic was always going to be included here. They were going to get what they’re getting now anyway. The extra content that would be available for other people is now not going to be there.

We cannot be more inclusive and at the same time remove the reason why some people are here for. Nothing about this hurt the people complaining about it. That includes me, btw, I was not going to be super happy with the changes they were going to implement, but at least I’d have gotten something new in terms of content.

What I’m now getting is just a classic reskin and a couple of maps with identical objectives. That’s not fun to me. Why would I want this game now? I don’t play PvP at all. I was strictly going to be here for the campaign mode that I’ve already finished a couple of times.

The new content was going to be there for people like me who would like to see new content added, whether or not it’s better or worse than the original. Just anything fresh. Now I’m not getting that because some people thought it would somehow harm their own enjoyment.

Well, then I’m going to go off of what Blizzard said they were going to do in 2018 upon which I based my preorder decision, not upon what people were saying on the forums they didn’t want. People don’t want things all the time. They can not want World of Warcraft every day. I can not want World of Warcraft every day. What I can want right now is new story stuff. If that’s slashed, I won’t be included in the audience for Warcraft III: Reforged when I was explicitly slated to be; “A fan of the original lore who wanted to see an update to the old content to enjoy it fresh”.

Ha. Just more evidence of successful propaganda / divide & conquer in main stream media. If Arthas is masquerading as a women he’s welcome to use whatever bathroom he/she like in my house.

Undead lives matter!

Well, it looks like the classic purists are getting what they want than others. I played WC3 when I was, like, 6 years old. The first time, I was watching my dad play online/PvP - mostly DotA. I played the campaign and custom maps (i.e.: Candy Wars, Tower Defense, etc.) but I, like a good amount of others, what something fresh from Reforged. It looks like majority of the new, cool feats would be cut from us because of the purists getting consumed by nostalgia and staying in their comfort zone about the game. If you’re wondering, I’m one of the type who loves nostalgia but insists on moving forward, not back or stagnant.

Guess my preorder money stays in my wallet. However, I will wait until they announce and show the final product before I buy. Been burnt one too many times with Blizzard.

By adding things that weren’t there in the original game, what they’re removing is fidelity.

Improving on the original was always the original intention. They cut out updated story content because of purist whiners but this was never a simple HD update. That’s why it’s called WC3: Reforged not WC3: Remastered

They probably realized that the best way to “improve” Reforged was keep to the original and to not introduce any of WoW’s convoluted, incoherent plot into it.

You don’t make additions to a Picasso.

Semantics.

Oh I knew a desperate attempt at the Mona Lisa argument was going to come at some point. Too bad it’s so easy to dismiss. Look at the reaction the world had when Sony mentioned the possibility of a “The Princess Bride” remake. No one wanted it, no one wanted even entertain the thought of desecrating a masterpiece.

Get the point? If they were anywhere near a Picasso level masterpiece, there wouldn’t be as much outrage over the shift in design decision as we’re seeing right now

Mona Lisa was da Vinci, not Picasso.

In the PC gaming world, WC3 is widely considered to be a world-renowned masterpiece-- a Picasso, if you will. It’s a metaphor.

I think it’s fairly evident that you should purchase some non-bunching panties. Good luck, farewell, muted.

The Brood War community used the Mona Lisa analogy a lot, that’s why I call out the Mona Lisa argument.

As I already explained, if the gaming community actually considers WC3 a masterpiece there wouldn’t be this much outrage over the cut content genius.

Translation: I’m just going to block you so I don’t have to admit I don’t have a case anymore. You whining man children are as predictable as you are pathetic.
