Wizard:
Some streamer said that when streaming the demo, that he had interview with the devs and it was in fact on some starcraft engine.
I guess they wanted to do it on Starcraft engine, because back then Warcraft 3 engine was at even worse stage than today.
That explains everything, thanks for posting. Starcraft 2âs engine is obviously superior, unitâs movement is smoother and the graphic is prettier.
I think it all hinges on one question: is Reforged expected to be compatible with the orignal W3? If yes, then unfortunately itâs meant to be a massive reskin running on the W3 engine; if no, then maybe the 2018 demo version could be brought back which, according to the previous post, is running on SC2 engine.
Yes.

But graphics can be improved without changing map or save file format.

I highly doubt that. The overall performance will still look worse than the demo no matter what they do. W3 engine has its limits. This really feels like false advertising.

Doubt most of us agree with the part âthe demo from 2018 looked so cleanâ Not everyone got access to the demo from home thatâs why it worked fine on their Arcade comps at Blizzcon and most people at Blizzcon got a chance to play it.
Can we all agree blizzardâs silence in this is very unprofessional? They went silent for an entire year, release the beta, then goes silent AGAIN. Who does that? Why canât we have developers like AOE2:DE who actually COMMUNICATE with the community. Just disappointing. I wish them a class-action lawsuit if the release blows, which it will.

There are people saying itâs a compatibility issue, does anyone know anything about it?
I donât know if itâs a compatibility issue, I havenât seen anything said about it
The game will have crossplay with the classic, right? Will this not cause any problems in the game?
some units look too different and have different sizes, i wouldnât be surprised that Blizzard say âsorry we canât make it work, compatibility wonât happenâ in the end.

Now in this 2019 beta the game lost the great aspects of The Culling Demo from Blizzcon2018! See this list what is missing:
The Reflections, Realistic Lighting, Shaders, Post Effects, Realistic Rendering, Realistic Shadows, Realistic Trees, Ambient Occlusion, Ray Tracing, Realistic Terrain, Realistic Grass, Anti Aliasing, New UI, New Mini Map, Some Colors, Day and Night Reflections.
And other things what The Culling Demo from Blizzcon2018 already had and now disappeared, and no one know about the whyâŚ
Game Graphics
Terrain & visual effects
( shadow quality, effect quality, texture quality, blur, shaders, tree wind, grass, quality water, atmospheric fog/ caustics, ambient occlusion, world lighting, specular and light blooms, vsync, anti aliasing )
Quotes from other topic, is think that will be clear to understand

Awesome quotes, i think they will know now what is missing in this 2019 beta
wtf is wrong with you souchirou stop posting the same thing over and over, also are you twelve?? I bet you never even played classic to begin with
These â2018 demo comparsionâ topics are getting annoying, thatâs not even a beta, it was a demo, lol.
if you open the editor and apply some shadows and lighting you get a very similar effect.
Not similar in world editor, the 2018 are still way better.

Hopefully! Hoping they improve the graphics! So i are bringing that feedback for the topic!
Everything what this game is needing now they already had in the Demo! Are so many videos from the demo gameplay and them show how beautiful and smooth the game run in those videos!
The 2018 demo has great Terrain, great Lighting and Reflections, it has an awesome UI that allows you more screen space. The realistic models, buildings and graphics have a lot of details that help us to better identify the things! The rendering and the colors / saturation in the demo were perfect and matched so well with the realistic modern look style of WarCraft 3 Reforged in this Demo!
Look at this comparison video of the Beta and the Demo!
In that part of the video is the comparison side a side!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_d2br9wyIjg&feature=youtu.be&t=456
And in that other part of this video shows first the Beta part and after the Demo part to the comparison!

See how Warcraft 3 Reforged now are urgently needing the modern realistic graphics from the Demo! Looks how Malganis and Arthas looks so dry without the better Lighting,Shadows and Effects! That graphics improviment things will helps this game looks so far more better and really Reforged! Because that they need bring the Demo look in the release!
So please bring improviments to the Graphics! To the Lighting,Shadows,Terrain and the UI!
Thanks and have an nice day!
Now the release day is near and the hype for the Reforged launch are there! We are hoping they can do improviments in the graphics!

Noticed that too! When this game will go looks like the same product shown in Blizzcon2018? Where are the modern and realistic graphics from the demo?
