[Main Thread] Low FPS Poor Performance Patch 1.36 (May 2023)

Was completely fine before the update, i mainly play custom games and they are slideshows after update, tried reinstalling, common fixes etc. Amd 2700x CPU and rtx 2070 GPU. Unplayable at the moment, hoping for a fix asap…

Bliz wants you post that in the main thread that I linked,

Please post your dxdiag in the main thread with the blizz response:

After last update i have very low performance in wc3. fps droped by 200 to very stutering area. Only way u can play smoothly is if u have 60 herz monitor and sync to 60 herz only… please take care of this. i see many report same problem

At the top of this forum is…

The new PTR patch seems to have done a good job, and the FPS is more stable and increased my FPS on custom maps like LTA or Azeroth Wars by around 20 fps.

It didn’t entirely fix the issue, but I would say it’s a lot more playable with the ocassional micro stutter than a very often massive stutter.
Don’t know how it is for everyone else.

Hey there everyone,

I just wanted to provide an update on this issue. I have merged all the separate posts regarding this issue into this thread and we are currently investigating. I do not have any information on the progress of that information but it is being looked into.

If you have not yet provided a dxdiag as requested in the earlier Blue Posts, please go ahead and add it in this thread.

If we get any additional updates to share, they will be posted here.

Guys, on the PTR we can play fluently. Last patch has caused this issue. Some Dxdiags files already showing a problem with warcraft 3. Remove the last patch until you have investigated the problem so that we can continue to play normal. As everybody is telling you here PTR it is normal, last patch was also normal. How can you guys let it running like that? Put on previous patch that was working. Jesus Maria!!! Where is the problem to do so?

Because it’s not that simple. Including the PTR, there’s been four builds. All together, they contained tons of changes. Reverting back to the PTR version because of one issue, which doesn’t even affect everybody, isn’t going to happen.

I noticed that a lot of people with this problem have a AMD Ryzen 5 3600.

Hi! We have performed a full lobby game in the PTS with my discord. We have determined that it is BETTER than live, but not as good as it was before 1.36. So whatever changes are currently in the PTS, its probably in the good direction.

I have also spoken to other map makers, i have some ideas of what could be causing it. Is it possible to have a pm with the dev working right now?

I’m Lordsebas#0809 on discord.

Thank you for your hard work, lets hope for a good resolution. My community is available for further test if needed.

We did a full 16 man lobby with large 8v8 fights with 200+ pop and it seems like the fix worked. Fps seemed pretty similar to how it was before!
