Alright, I have updated the ticket with customer support which I had opened, with the cd keys.
To me it seems like an error though, as if Reforged has overwritten my cdkeys or something. The cdkeys have to be connected to one of these two accounts. I don’t have other accounts or e-mail adresses in use for many years. And I remember redeeming both keys max 2 years ago. Thanks for the help.
same. It’s like its this fight now that i’m wrong and big bad blizz is right. We are its player base, nobody is beating down doors to play this game. to treat us like we are in the wrong is insane and I’m going to voice it!

I checked the account and do see a key for Frozen Throne, but not the base game Reign of Chaos. The account will need both. I noticed your earlier post said you had the box in front of you. Try claiming the code here.
If you receive an “in use” error please contact support to see if they are able to recover the account.

I pre-purchased Reforged. I Own even both older versions (key registered at my account). Installed Ref yesterday. Getting error message can’t handle request over and over again. Uninstalled completely everything (cleaned %appdata%, %temp%, %localappdata%) thinking it will fix it … downloaded and installed again with the same results. So guys it’s not your key problems or older version. I have them all and still getting that message. It’s not even reinstallation with cleaning all leftovers including emptying trash bin. Ball is on Blizzard side now.

I’m only seeing Frozen Throne on the account you’re logged in with. I noticed you mentioned a pre-purchase for reforged. The most likely case is that the purchase was made on a different account.
My advice here would be to contact support to locate the account the purchase was made on.

Cdkeys were indeed linked to another mail address. One which I don’t/can’t use anymore since at latest 2005. Luckily I was able to login to that account with the bnet app (never used the app with that account before) and change the emailaddress to an active one.
Still strange that I could/had to redeem my codes less than 2 years ago with one of the 2 accounts I have been using to login, and that the codes were gone now. Anyways, it’s working for me now. Thanks!
I have teh same issue! Blizzard is pathetic, the release is a month late and I can’t even play the game. In the dashboard it looks the exact same, like no work was done at all, except that now you can’t double click names, open profiles, see stats, change icons, open your own profile, anything. So, this is basically the same game repackaged and unplayable? NICE ONE @BLIZZARD!
i have the same issue nofear. cd keys are installed to my bnet name. still does not work, same message. i even uninstalled and reinstalled. no luck. i decided to go and post my CD Keys on every forum and message board I could find, because apparently they are no good to me any longer.
Well those from Blizzard literally retrieved from us a game that we’ve been owning for 18 years. Just an enormous that should not be left unpunished. Anyone who already had the game and experienced that stupid bug shall be refunded, and be gifted the game. I would even say we should be gifted the 40$ pack. This is total non-sense. You release a new game and break the old ones… Like fifa would release FIFA 21 and break all the FIFA 2001. NON-SENSE.
had same problem, keys are linked to an old acc that wasnt in use since 2008, i just tried to enter all of my old email as bnet acc and found it.
game starts well with that old acc .
I didn’t have the classic version before, I only bought the Reforged version. Is there a way to get the CD keys even though I just bought the new game?
Solved Iusse with a 2nd pair of keys I posessed, gladly. The once I was playing the whole time, seem to be claimed already from whoever? Myself 15 years ago? Cant remeber doing that…
So, I will need yo buy reforged, even if I have already bought WC3 RoC and FT???

i add the cd keys from old games and ok this error didnt appear again, i log in to game but … i cannot join any game, lag is terrible, i cant download maps, i once manage to join 1 game but after 2 mins i was disconnected… so seems that classic users cannot play online
am i able to play the classic frozen throne that i own with out purchasing reforged!? i just want to play. this sucks 
yes you have to go to account settings and redeem codes - enter the cd keys from the games you had bought… but Im not sure u can play online… I cant, lag is huge and game gets dc’s, I dont know what to do
I’m having the exact same problem but with the digital version that i bought from the store so i have no codes, i have to activate through email and password system, so what am i now screwed out of a game a bought separatedly?
