I love how the people asking unnecesary thing that doesnt make any sense
U guys fanboys maybe played the same campaning in wc3 tons of times and you want tons of working for cutscenes ?
If you sant that 4hrs+ of boring videos go play wc3 ft.
The only thing that make the game alive is graphics ( wc3 is bad here ) and gameplay. (Here too)
I forgot the fanboy wc3 boy watch 9999 times the same mini video from campaning
The unique thing that make a rts game alive is MULTIPLAYER.
Ever since this game was announced I’ve only heard it was being remastered, not remade, where are people getting this? When did they EVER say GUYS WE ARE REMAKING THE GAME!!!..not it was a remaster and it’ll always be a remaster and they never had any intention of adding NEW story missions or anything else in that matter, if your mad about the outcome and that they aren’t REMAKING the game like you have misheard, then refund the game.
Exactly, this ALWAYS sounded to me more like remaster than a remake. Certainly more than simple “HD remaster”, but a fully fleshed remake would be something where every mission is designed from scratch and where there would be heck of lot of new story/character additions etc…that was NEVER in their plans, at most Refroged would have been something in between remaster and remake.
lol, maybe theres something wrong with your eye and ears bro, u know what? even the reforge scene that they show us in blizzcon 2018 will got cut. and u should rewatch the blizzcon wc3r panel, they say themself there will be retcon so more new player and wow player alike will buy and play the game, and dont forget to check your eye, ears b4 u think ppl misheard stuff.
Oh, shut the f.ck up, kindly. The lore is fine. It’s only broken because Blizzard had no idea how successful WoW was going to be when it launched - how could anyone have predicted that and laid ground work for the lore from Warcraft Orcs and Humans so precisely and perfectly? They couldn’t. So f.ck off with your ignorance.
The WHOLE point of updating the story was so that it fit better with WoW’s narrative. Dumbass.
Exactly what they promised was not just a remaster. They showed us the mission of Stratholme, they said that they will do this with the whole campaign. What did we see there? New cutscenes and landscape changes. They also said that they will reveal better some famous characters who have not been given enough time in original Warcraft, but who have become more significant in WoW.
Somehow not like a “remaster”.
We w8ing “Reforge”, exactly this.
And again tell me exactly HOW much WoW has changed that narrative? Honestly do you even know yourself?
The honest answer really is that Warcraft III’s lore and history still holds up 99% even today…the ONLY things that were added later in the lore were certain characters who played minor roles at time of WC3 (and only became major characters later in WoW) or how Arthas killed Anasterian Sunstrider…thats about it, there really ISNT that much that would have to be updated in Warcraft III’s story/lore in the first place cause NOTHING major in the storyline has changed in past 16 years. Thus I think whining about Blizzard not adding new scenes and abandoning the story updates to fit in with WoW’s narrative is laughable cause Warcraft III’s story fits together with WoW’s narrative JUST FINE as it is…
Warcraft: Orcs and Humans and WC2: Tides of Darkness, now THOSE are two games that would really require some big lore updates, but Warcraft III definitely doesnt.
Just compare the original mission and what was shown in the demo on Blizzcon. If you think that this is just a remaster, then there is already a problem with semantics, I can’t help anything.
Nothing arguably needed to be CHANGED anyways. But there was floated the possibility that certain events or characters would be introduced or shown to be MORE important or relevant or certain events being EMPHASIZED by the lore.
It could have been something small like adding two named Footman units in the Human/Arthas campaign named Falric and Marwyn. Falric literally being Arthas’ right-hand man and Captain, both of whom later followed after Arthas after he wandered into the frozen wastes at the end of the campaign. From the books we learn of their fates, but that doesn’t need to be shown in WC3. It simply could have used a BRIDGE between them. So, literally just throwing two named footmen in.
And maybe they plan to do that, because of LITERALLY HOW EASY IT IS, but maybe they won’t; it’s still just an example of things they could do, without “messing” with the overall structure - what about other things, such as Anasterian being a figure who Arthas fights (and kills)? What about a new “reforged” cinematic showing heavier emphasis on the torment Sylvanas felt when her spirit was ripped out of her body? There’s so many things that could be done, not to CHANGE THE LORE, but to ENHANCE THE LORE.
I hate wow!
And i hate dota and moba!
Those games destroyed the RTS genre.
I play since 1994,since orcs & humans.
This is the closest thing to a warcraft iv that we can get!
Two campaigns wont hurt anybody.
And it can only contribute to the genre.
You maybe paid for a reskin but it was not advertised as a reskin but an overhaul with extra content without hurting the core story.
There was never an intention to change the story. I too object to change it.
I only want new missions like the “culling of stratholme“.
Some extra dialogue and quests will only do good for the game and can attract new players.
A reskin did not worked for starcraft and it won’t work for this one too…
Look at age of empires ii definitive edition this is how it should be if we want at least a shot of reviving the franchise and the RTS genre.
We all love this game i’m sure of it,but i want it to live again and not just be a 1 month hype and thats it…
I mean if they would ever remake those games obviously…which is why Blizzard has refused to do so because those games would really need to be done from scratch both in terms of narrative as well as design and gameplay obviously, unlike Warcraft III. Too much trouble/effort so to speak.
They said from the very beginning that they had not seriously thought about re-publishing Warcraft 1 and 2. The point is to talk about THIS?
I repeat, we ask for some guarantees that we will receive what they are promised.
I don’t understand why you writing this. Well, yes, it would be nice if these two games were reworked. But did they promise us that? No. Unlike cutscenes and augmented campaigns.
The lore changes and updates happened already though. Say we got Warcraft 2: Reforged. It really wouldn’t be anything new. It would just be a new format and demonstration of the modern lore in regards to the Second War.
I’m just confused as to when personal bias takes the stage in regards to what retcons are permissible and what retcons aren’t when Blizzard’s been doing it since the series’ inception.
Biggest lie in this thread. you should be outright ashamed along with the 89 people who liked your misinformed lie.
NOT, its coming.
NOT, while its not as extreme as what they intended to do 2018 they are still going to make changes and overhaul the visual art style of the campaigns to look like wow.
This is worst lie of them all. they have a huge dedicated pro playerbase they NEVER SAID THAT.
you should literally be legit ashamed of yourself for misleading the community with lies. lies everywhere you’re a bad person that does not do proper research.
Well ye…put you also have to understand that is that many old fans are passionate about getting 100% faithful remaster of the original, rather than larger overhaul with added lore and characters that were not originally there.
Again ofc it would be great if Blizzard/Reforged team could have put enough resources to satisfy both groups of ppl who want just graphical remaster and those who want some bigger overhaul, but apparently that wasnt possible, most likely that they were given limited time to get this game out and they would not be allowed to delay the game.
Anyhow in regards of WC1 and WC2 I just wanted to bring them up because they have in every way and form aged much more poorly than WC3 and like said WC3 already added so much background lore to those games already. But anyhow ofc its understandable that in large fandom like Warcraft there are going to be different opinions about what lore additions were great and what were not. Many “oldschool” Warcraft fans were already pissed off at WC3, because it wasnt as “dark fantasy” as the previous 2 games.
