I’m not boycotting anything. I don’t want a written apology. I don’t want a refund. I want WC3 reforged to have at a minimum, the features that were in WC3 TFT. That’s really not asking for much. I’ve left feedback in various mediums. People use different sources for their information. It’s all over everywhere now, and it’s up to blizzard to decide what to do with it, not us. We all did what we could, which is inform other consumers, and inform the company.
Believe it or not but my first account just got muted until tomorrow for no reason given …had to quickly do a new one, whatever back2topic
My point is that with such a high volume of complaint, the general public does not associate this as a normal means of complaint. Especially with 0/10 ratings which are generally viewed as ‘outrage’.
That made me think, you got a point there.
But still i stand behind my 0/10 Reforged review cuz as stated above, i think i very well explained why i gave it 0/10. I dont really care if people view it as “outrage”…because it is outrage, well reasoned outrage.
Has any boycott really worked in making better products?
Yes it has!
I agree. That’s the best possible scenario we can hope for.
And from twitter, it looks like the Devs are indeed listening. There were talks about adding Custom Campaign back and consideration for UI (very ambiguous message).
All we can do is inform ourselves and hope for the best, if we so choose. Otherwise this whole negative feedback loop isn’t make the devs work harder at what they already are doing; it’s not in their power to release an unfinished game. The game had a deadline and they had to meet it. And the execs wouldn’t push back the deadline any more than this since the project would more likely be cut completely rather than be funded more.
And I doubt they’d even bring back classic at this point. Keeping the PTR up is the best thing that can happen right now.
Yes it has!
Sorry, I have to clarify.
Has any Blizzard boycott really worked in making better products?
Has any Blizzard boycott really worked in making better products?
Not yet. We will get there ;).
(btw those forums truely drive me mad, i dont even know wether im editing a new post or editing an old one, can we have a shtstorm so we get back old blizzard forums? they were mutch superior, thanks)
You seriously think that we do not understand:
- devs are working power and have no control on decesions?
- devs have fixed dead line that they have to meet?
we do not blame devs or lemonsky or anyone. We just want what we had. We do not expect the review bombing to do anything. But we also do not expect it to have any damage because there is nothing left to damage.
That’s the thing.
We won’t. Because it’s proven that it doesn’t work. Look at how the Free HK boycott has worked so far. Look at how effective it will be when Blizzard releases Overwatch 2 or Diablo 4 or some other big game that brings everyone and their mothers back.
And I don’t mean that people will not stick to their boycotts - I’m sure they could and they will. But it doesn’t matter because there’s still millions of people who will buy every terrible and good Blizzard game out there. Look at all the people who came back for Classic WoW who used to boycott the entire series. It’s not helping make BFA or Shadowlands better.
we do not blame devs or lemonsky or anyone.
Oh definetly i do blame Bobby Kotick.
And its not only him, surely devs, outsourced or not, are responsible for this aswell. Not saying every dev or every blizz employee but the people deciding things.
Has any Blizzard boycott really worked in making better products?
No, but they don’t care about that, because you can tell very few of these people care about the game’s well being at this point. They’ve been flooding threads and attacking players just for suggesting fixes.
“ooo look at the fanboy shills defending Blizzard having hope the game will survive this travesty”
Uhhh… we all understand that they botched the launch, but… why are you attacking us for just wanting it fixed?
It’s like there’s 2 groups of people on here pushing 2 different narratives. 1 group is slamming Blizzard but also want the game fixed so they can keep playing. The other group is attacking anyone who wants to see the game fixed, calling them shills and fanboys.
This 2nd group of people is toxic af, and they’re clearly not “from here”, ie they don’t play the game, they’re just here to dog pile and feed on pessimism.
You can be upset with the release, but once you start attacking the players, and saying “LOL watch the game crash and burn”, you’re no longer an “ally”, you’re a toxic troll.
Most of us don’t care about your petty revenge narratives. We just want our game fixed so we can keep playing… If you’re going to attack that, you’re a REMOVED idiot.
“LOL watch the game crash and burn”
i want the company to crash and burn, so it can be rebuild from its ashes.
Cuz that is was Blizzard needs. A reset button, A complete “reforge”.
It’s because outrage is emotional expression. It’s not coming from a logical or reasonable standpoint. People are flooding the forums to express their disappointment, and the toxic individuals are simply seeking validation, disregarding any other alternative opinion.
So WC3 Reforged gets review bombed means time to make Warcraft Heroes ARPG for Mobile
i doubt Diablo Immortal will release, ever.
Why? because of the sh1tstorm.
Goodjob people.
Bonfire Studios.
Look it up.
i doubt Diablo Immortal will release, ever.
Why? because of the sh1tstorm.
That only comes from the west, where people don’t even play mobile games.
What matters is the east, and the reason why it wasn’t already released is because Tencent’s recent ARPG was released and didn’t do well on the market. Netease is likely waiting for a better time for the market to be interested.
Blizzard’s biggest mistake was unveiling this project at Blizzcon when every fan was expecting Diablo 4 news. I have no issues with Diablo Immortal personally. In fact, most people who actually played it at Blizzcon said the game was fun. Only people who don’t play mobile games and expected D4 had any hate towards it, and honestly not because the game is bad, but because it was not what they expected. That’s all.
The hate is similar to the hate here. A lot of negative reviews are coming from emotional response (outrage) which is mixed in with actual legitimate reasoning. And that will throw out a lot of credibility of opinions here.
and the reason why it wasn’t already released is because Tencent’s recent ARPG was released and didn’t do well on the market
Why it wasnt doing well on the market?
From the perspective of the review-bomber, yes. Though obviously it’s better to not review-bomb at all.
A 0 is someone who went straight to the lowest number and wishes for a negative number (as someone phrased it in a thread like this one). Someone who puts a 2 has at least reflected long enough to acknowledge that their might be things worth saving in whatever they are rating.
Ask China.
I was in China for a month in March 2018. EVERYONE was playing on mobile gaming there, and WIFI is available everywhere not like in North America where the only reliable wifi is like… nearest Starbucks. Huge ads everywhere for mobile ARPG. I even asked myself ‘Why doesn’t Blizzard make one?!’ And they announced DIablo Immortal at Blizzcon and I said to myself ‘oh nice! finally! Something for the Chinese market’.
But of course everyone hated it. And only because it was not Diablo 2 Remaster or Diablo 4. Hate because it was not a PC game. Hate that it had microtransactions. Hate that it looked like a reskin of Netease other games. But how many of these people actually played and like mobile ARPG? Why can’t these people just treat it as a game they don’t play, like Hearthstone, which is great for people who want it? It’s because the announcement felt like a personal insult, that’s why.
But like you ask, why did Netease’s game not do well in China? Hard to say. If we had that answer then Diablo Immortal wouldn’t be postponed in development. We even know that Netease developer said the game was developed and they were done, it’s just up to Blizzard to release it (or cancel it).
For me, rating 0 is completely unfair, and in addition can only plunge Blizzard. Do you like games that blizzard does? Since you feel that the finance department has taken over control of Blizzard, rating 0 and refund certainly will not help, they will fire more people and close several projects. Good job!
You guys should really scroll up and read through all of this x)…
Wrong. Getting a refund and leaving a legitimately bad review is the only way we can get Blizzard to take action. We can vote with our wallets.
They literally broke the original WC3 with this release. It deserves the 0/10 it got.
