If you are not a critic. No one gives a flying F about your opinion. It is a static before you say anything. That is the whole point of review bombing. To make the largest impact on the statistics as possible.
Few? FEW?!!!
- NO LADDER
- NO CLANS
- LOWER GRAPHICS FOR SD
- CUSTOM GAMES BUGGED
- NO TOURNAEMTS
- NO PROFILES
If I wanted to play just the campaign I already have a previous version of the game. The heck do I download 30GB of contents I cannot and do not want to use anyway.
a few missing features
dont try to downplay this or i post the list again
Maybe actually read the op next time. That’s the point of this thread, not every 0/10 review is butthurt people.
Refunded totally destroyed original WC3, which wasn’t supposed to happen, WC3 was supposed to be left completely untouched, but even BEFORE the release of refunded we started to see patches removing features of original WC3 for refunded, then when refunded is released even more stuff is lost.
That is instantly a justified 0/10 from every person who never wanted or lost interest in refunded.
Yes, If you have one reason for playing the game, and that feature is missing… then yes?
Please don’t ever work in management. Don’t ever produce anything. If you’re okay with paying for mediocre, unfinished work from a company known for releasing nothing but the best, highest quality work year after year… more power to you!
This game is not even close to a representation of the work Blizzard did consistently for over two decades.
Yes but review bombing has very little positive impact.
Like right now, REforged as achieved a lowest user score on metacritic of all times.
What are the positive outcomes of this situation? That Blizzard will lose money? They already are from refunds, and frankly not all 0/10 reviews will prevent future purchases or even suggest that they were refunded (someone even posted saying they put 0/10 and have not refunded).
There is no positive outcome to review bombing. It will not make future Blizzard game releases better, as it is clearly shown that review bombing had no positive effects on other games such as Fallout 76 or Mass Effect 3. Companies did not change their ways at all despite bad reviews. Nor does it really change public opinion - Anyone who thinks Blizzard is some shiny innocent company who loves its fans isn’t gonna change their opinion based on metacritic reviews. An aggregator isn’t a medium for making strong statements and influencing change. We want it to be, but it’s not. That’s why the term ‘Outrage culture’ even exists.
What are the positive outcomes of this situation?
it may finally lead into blizzard splitting apart from activsion, sowe might have great games at one point again.
Again: Bungie only divorced from activsion because of many, many outcrys by the community.
Another thing which comes to mind is investors also loose faith, their stock allready dropped because of this shtstorm.
I would hope they have a team of people who read reviews, compile data, and bring feedback to the development team in meetings like any other reasonable business?
I left my 0 with reasons as to why it was a 0 in my mind. I can always change it if they actually make something remotely close to what I expect from them, based on their stellar history.
So which is it: the shell of its former self ran by Pure Evil Executives only out for your money, or the finest gaming company from which one should expect the best? People who hate Reforged can’t have it both ways. Also, even those who like Reforged would not compare Blizzard to a multi-star restaurant…
Fair complaint, and that’s the one thing where I agree that Blizzard screwed up badly. That was not my point, however.
We already know that they will not change anything. As said before. It is the best thing we got, despite how trivial it is, it is really the only thing we have. A way to express our disappointment and show that our anger.
Classic is dead forever now. We know that, some already migrated to other PVP servers, some already considering created new PVP server with latest patch before reforged.
WC3 is dead anyway so as a last tribute to it, we will review the sh*t of this abomination called reforged.
I am not saying Blizzard hit a home run with Reforged, quite the opposite it has problems. What I am saying is giving it a 0/10 is completely unreasonable and thus makes your review mostly pointless. Give it a 2/10 then explain why and maybe people will take your more seriously.
The only thing destroyed WC3 is you idiots and the mob of activists who review bombed it.
Again, the review is basically pointless given it is user not critic one. You are just static when you are user reviewer. That is why it is either 10 or 0.
Why would i personally give a game that i have no interest in which has done nothing but REMOVE features from an entirely different product that i did enjoy and i had already paid for a score higher than 0?
Oh no wait, for clarity it did in fact ADD something to the product i did play and enjoy,
OVER THIRTY GIGABYTES OF ABSOLUTELY 100% USELESS EXTRA DATA ON MY HARD DRIVE
They didn’t release the game we were promised and broke the original one. How the hell do you “unfinish” a game?
They deserve every single 0/10 rating.
People already don’t have faith and trust in Blizzard. Reviews like this only inform the informed, not bring about change.
Did you have much faith in Blizzard before you saw the 0/10 reviews?
Well, it doesn’t look like you’re going to change our opinion, and we won’t change yours. I left my 0 with a detailed explanation. If my explanation holds no merit to them, that’s on them. When you lie to me, I’m not very inclined to award you any points.
Did you have much faith in Blizzard before you saw the 0/10 reviews?
i do not have mutch faith in activizzard since cataclysm.
Hopefully it will help someone considering buying the game. That’s why I write reviews. I’ve helped thousands of people and also have helped some businesses (which is why I mentioned the fine dining example) with my reviews. I am a local guide on Google Maps because of my reviews. I won an award at my university because of my reviews. I believe in helping others.
A persons or a businesses choice is their choice on what to do with anyone’s review or feedback. I did my part. I left a detailed review as to why they earned the score they did. If it helps one person, that’s all I care about.
You can read my review and say, “hey I don’t care about those features,” and buy the game. Or you can read my review and say “wow I am so glad I didn’t buy this because I’m just like this guy, all I wanted was competitive matchmaking,” and not buy the game.
I can’t control any of that. I can just provide guidance and my opinion based on facts.
And certainly, I will update my review in the event they address the issues in a timely manner, because again, the point of these reviews are to provide consumers and businesses with feedback.
We already know that they will not change anything.
Not exactly.
Look a few posts above yours.
again: people loose faith and trust in activizzard, which may lead in to blizzard finally splitting apart from activsion and we have great blizzard games again at one point.
This is an example of people thinking it WILL bring change. So there is really a wide group of people who you are siding with when you put up your own personal reason for 0/10.
Your personal opinion may not agree with that individuals, but it is being lumped in the same category. And it’s not easily separated once associated as such. This is just one of the problems that I’m illustrating by adding to the collective ‘0/10’ reviews - All individually opinions are generalized to a singular message of ‘We have no faith in this product’.
And despite individual opinion, it’s gonna be considered toxic behaviour and generally glazed over as outrage, rather than legitimate feedback.
