And you are proving to me that you are being obstinate and refusing to accept that it is legitimate to get a refund when a product is advertised as one thing and isn’t satisfactory.
Food for example: You look at a menu and see that they advertise, “Fresh, HOMEMADE ravioli.” You say to yourself, “Oh, man, that sounds good. I would never have ravioli at home because they come from a frozen package. . . but I’m looking forward to trying some ravioli that were freshly made this very day!”
You order the ravioli, the waiter brings it to your table. You have one and it tastes kind of off… you say to yourself, “Ok, maybe that one just wasn’t made well, let me try another.” The next one doesn’t feel quite right. You take your fork and knife, you dissect another ravioli, see the mushy consistency and the piping hot center, and you correctly deduce that the ravioli is NOT as advertised. Far from being fresh and homemade, it was frozen and heated in a microwave!
You inform the waiter, the owner comes over and apologizes, and they comp that item on your bill. Get it?
So, here’s the difference between you and me. I am directly addressing your points. Every time I directly address your points, instead of addressing my counterpoint, you introduce a strawman argument.
Like I said, you are just being obstinate and incorrigible at this point, not actually tackling what I am saying.
Did you read the OP? the OP said he is satisfied with the product since he had genuine fun, a game is supposed to provide fun. You are being obstinate and projecting your own feelings into the OP, which is what I am responding to. If you want to make a thread about your issues with this game you can go make one and we can debate there.
I will repeat for you, in case you did not understand: THE OP ENJOYED PLAYING WC3 REFORGED.
I suggest you re-read the OP, you are projecting your own issues in this thread. You are choosing to not understand basic points about business-consumer decency.
NOT AS ADVERTISED. Advertised was that all they would do to the campaign would be to add CGI cinematic cutscenes (they didn’t do that), change a couple of maps to have new layouts.
But, no, they didn’t. They altered the campaigns significantly, they removed “Grom” from the game because of POSSIBLE copyright conflict with Honda, for whatever reason. They removed SEVERAL key lines from campaign cinematics (e.g: Arthas saying, “What the hell is that?” when introduced to meat wagons for the first time). Among other things.
He is disappointed with it. It was NOT AS ADVERTISED.
Uh yes? When was the last time you bought a prince song? Probably some nostalgia exploit anniversary edition? I mean this is just common sense unless you can reinvigorate the art it dies. Go look in any dvd bin $60 movies now 5 for $5
Maybe you need reading comprehension courses? He enjoyed moments of it. But, overall, was disappointed. If I enjoy some aspect of the ravioli, I am still disappointed that the ravioli was not what I expected it to be.
movie bins are selling for dirt cheap because nobody wants to keep using a DVD players anymore, the media is old and cumbersome, I have news for you: dead artists still have their music sold and the estate recieves the money.
Do you honestly believe nobody buys Prince music anymore???
All those ppl defending this guy are just unable to understand point we tried to present.
its like throwing beans on wall…
Even when he clearly stated that he had fun but refunded just because he did not like Kaivax development update. Total BS LOL
As i said alot of posts before he just abused automatic refunds system since he realized he can refund the game at any point even if he bought it just because of campaign and calculated that he can save money after finishing it… Be fair he would not play it again any time soon
There is just no excuse for that. But there is still bunch of people without the back bone…
All this food talk is funny. You take a few bites and discover you don’t like it. You then have some options.
A) finish and pay. Don’t order it again
B) return it for a refund IF the chef messed up (determination here is difficult) and ask for new or different dish
C) return it and pay because you tried something new and discovered it not what you like.
Between those 3 options are some variations but it’s never eat all the food and get refunded.
Do you honestly believe prince is relavent in the slightest? Like do you honestly believe that the revenue from his music is anywhere near it’s peak? Do you still buy Elvis’s music? Billy Joel? Kiss?
The only thing that gives old art monetary value is scarcity.
I see you must not be a man of taste. Old music is still being sold today, it doesn’t lose value over time. Also, digital media can not be scarce due to the nature of the media. Anyhow, this is getting off-topic.
I really don’t see what the problem is here?
If Blizzard themselves offered an option to refund a game they KNOW they dropped the ball on, is it not OPs right to be able to do that if they want to? The option was literally given by BLIZZARD regardless if someone played through it or not.
Suddenly everyone wants to defend Blizzard when just last week everybody was dragging them for the mess this game was/is.
Also, you guys act like you’ve never taken anything back to GameStop lmfao.
I have never returned a game at a store, I also do not buy physical copies and havent in a very long time so yes its easy to "act: that way. Some of us are calling out the OP due to his shady morality, that is all.
