How did the classic wow fans get there game? We should do what they did I think all they did was ask nicely. So here it goes.

If you ask for generel to download RoC and TFT from Blizzard then please go this way: Classic Warcraft III --- Official Installers - Official Patches
If you want to be able to download 1.31.1 again without relying to download it from a fan who kept a version then please go this way: Bring back Patch 1.31. Now
They got it basically by getting J. Allen Breck to embarrass himself at a blizzcon panel.
So, go to blizzcon, ask a totally benign question such as - would you ever do a classic version of warcraft 3 TFT and ROC - then hope the guy answering gives you a smarmy condesending answer which become a pointed meme on the internet

you need a bunch of fans to set up free classic servers that prove there is an interest. Blizzard will come shut them down twice over a period of years, but finally after the second time they’ll start scratching their chins and realize oh wait, fans are doing this because they want to play this!
