Hello, due to a recent problem involving multiple spam threads, along with the “free HongKong” posts I will be making this PSA thread to help forum posters produce mega threads. Making mega threads will help avoid cluttering the forums along with minimizing the work moderators have to do. Please note that not every post has to be a mega thread. I hope to inspire people to put serious effort into what they make, and to avoid any forum pollution in the future.

            🏰Mega Threads🏰

Mega threads are often a very detailed forum post with multiple sections or layers and can often gain responses in the thousands if it is well received. It is encouraged to post your ideas in a mega thread if someone has already made the subject to avoid multiple clone threads. You can use the search bar to find subjects that are in relation to yours. Just make sure to avoid necroing a very old thread as that can be looked down upon.

What makes a Mega Thread?

  • Multiple Sections and High Details/Effort
  • Massive Replies and Likes
  • Centeral Hub In-Which Moderators Send Spam Posts Too
  • Often a Place for Many Voices to be Heard With Clean Discussions

You can always mimic these posts and put your own spin on them if you are unsure how to lay out your mega thread. Don’t forget, you can link threads together with web URLs as I have with these posts. It is often the best way to bring people to old threads without necroing them outright.

  • Answer: You do not need to respond to your own post to add new information to it. Just simply hit the “edit” or “pencil” icon on your post to add onto it. If you are responding to someone but have already used your ability to reply; you can do what I have done here and quote the post, and respond just like this.

If what you are saying is true than start to respond to this topic again 2 TIMES IN 2 POSTS IN A ROW if that is possible for you. But it is impossible, and that’s why I had to make a lot of topics about my Corrupted Race ideas.

For those of you who are reading this, I am sorry for the clusters of topics I made (that got you guys upset at me), but trust this: I didn’t spam for the overall part.

Oh its all good, I wanted this post to serve as a guide for those new to the forums. To help avoid a similar situation in the future with other users. I know its impossible to keep forums 100% clear of spam and clutter but it helps!

As for responding to your own forum you do not need too. Just edit the forum and add onto the original posts. If you are responding to someone you can select their words and quote them in your post then give your response.

The fact is that you don’t have to post a new thread for each idea especially when it pertains to the same race or what have you, you also don’t need to be able to comment immediately in your own thread and people would be willing to read it all as long as you format it properly. So yes you are spamming.
