No, if Maru does not advance there is no way T wins a GSL now that TY is on the military service.Similar with P, if Trap does not advance, no choice for P, specially because it is a regular GSL and not a Super tournament.
Also not surprised by the result because Z is a very very good race and Rogue is an excellent player.

Imagine thinking Creator is a better SC2 player than Rogue…
The better player won. Creator’s run was good but let’s not kid ourselves here: he always was a RO32/group stage gatekeeper for 10+ years, and until last month he pretty much still was. Meanwhile Rogue is an accomplished champion and has won everything there is to win in SC2, multiple times. During all of those, all Creator could do is watch the games from his basement.
Rogue is the king of BO7s. Creator on the flipside never performed enough to actually play a meaningful BO7… the skill difference is just that big. Creator did better than expected by taking 2 maps.

No one honest is surprised Z wins every major. They are the safest race with the best economy, they are allowed to make more mistakes at every stage of the game thus are more consistent.

No. Rogue is the better Player and it was also a zvp and on top of that a Bo7. So the chances for an upset are very minimal. After the Third Match rogue didnt even try anymore. The fifth Match was a banger tho.
It was all very expected but a little more fun than i thought. So im happy
At least we now know that zerg has very nasty and very good cheeses and all ins too but they dont even Need to use them Most of the Time. I mean i think we knew that all along but its cool to See it being showcased Like that.

I’m not surprised Rogue won. I AM surprised that Creator was able to take two games off him so late into the series. He actually looked like he would pull it back for a little while, and I’m quite impressed by him - I think that he could definitely keep improving going forward, and sincerely hope he does.

Better player won. It is as it must be. Now Rogue is 4x GSL champ. How many GSL finals Creater had in last 5 years? 0? Why are we talking about balance then? Im surprised, its 4-2 and not 4-0 score.
How about IEM KATOWICE 2022?, ZvZ grand finals. I suppose all Protoss and Terran players suck, and you know best.

I think, right now we have very few top players, who can win big tournaments: 4Z (Dark, Rogue, Serral, Reynor), 1,5T (Maru and 0,5Clem), 1P (0,75Trap and 0,25Zest). Cure won previous GSL, but cmon, do u really feel, he is top tier Terran like Maru, when u watch his games? Guess, no. He is closer to Creator this season with a bit more luck.
Not so long ago we had Innovation, TY and Stats. Now they left SC2. Mb not forever, but for now we don’t have them in the player’s pool.
We have herO back, and I think he is top3 Protoss already. I believe he will get to the finals very soon.
We have Byan and Gumiho back, but tbh they don’t look like top tier T atm. And I think they never will be already.
In the same time soO is back, so probably 5th top zerg, we will see soon.
So there is no surprise, zergs win so many big tournaments, and we have ZvZ finals.
Imagine if Dark and Rogue will leave SC2 tomorrow. Who is gonna win GSL? Armani or Ragnarok, DRG or Solar? Ofc no!

Trap is a ways from being #1 protoss, bested by zest, hero, classic, creator in recent months, slumping since late 2021.
and the final was against Zest, so it was a TvP.
I think MindSpirit just wants to hear that zerg is broken. So he can say “just because you are zerg” when he loses.
alternatively, check out ESL Open Cups, where Toss is dominant and zerg is barely represented.

Yeah Creator made massive mistakes the first 2 games, this lead to an over-all loss. Not a balance issue, Protoss proved to do fine in the macro games and Creator showed he can beat Rogue when he doesn’t die to unscouted early pressure. Rogue had a well earned victory.

I just stopped playing for some time, the balance is broken and most maps are just stupid. And by the way when I win with zerg, yes it feels a bit too op and creep spread is almost MH.
ESL is not indicative of any balance. Simply put, the tournament is fun to watch but simply too small.
