Why Stetman can control mecha zerg

Well, according to WoL campaign, I think he is a scientist main at biology, not an engineer like Swann, so why can he create many bots? Maybe he is both good at biology and engineering? That’s unbelievable! (or maybe I can’t imagine a genius like him)

Pretty much every science type of character we are shown in the game is unbelievably smart at every possible field of science. Hanson seems to be primarily biologist or MD, but she acts like she is expert in xenos and quantum physics as well.

While the Omnidisciplinary Scientist trope is hardly unique to Starcraft it’s actually somewhat plausible in this setting. We know neural re-socialization can be used to imprint basic military training into a press-ganged civilian (Speed of Darkness). It’s not hard to imagine a benign application of this technology allowing someone to download college courses directly into their brain.

It’s not even a Terran-only thing. Karax is pretty over the top as well, which is more justifiable because he has giant psychic brain and more experience.

He was recruited by the domino for engineering field fo designing cyborg project and demonstrated knowledge in computer science hacking the facility declared a genius, when designing the first terran plasma personal shield where other engineers failed.

Swann is a technician, basically he is buying improvements from others and he manages to improvise based on that, basically he is someone who reads the manuals
Stetman is a prophetionist capable of generating new technology and literally an archetypal genius, social and multifunctional misfit
Ariel is the daughter of a prestigious biologist, when she talks about another field she refers to the fact that she has read research from other
In Broke Wide it is referenced that in basic school students have access to genetic experimentation, which is why it is quite common, Shadow of Xelnaga a low-tech colony could have access to a genetically modified dog of course, designed for load but they got a giant passive dog

Everything is possible if you have enough Terrazine.

Not enough Vespene Gas.

It’s StarCraft 2. Any pretense of verisimilitude or realism went out the window long ago.

also through the khala could access the knowledge of other scientists protoss

Not anymore. The Khala was destroyed a while before Karax took position on the Spear of Adun and singlehandedly oversee a job that usually require a group of technicians and engineers.

That’s because in-game university doesn’t have any of our education issue. As such every PhD is required to master at least seven different area before graduation.

he previous time that Karax probably spent looking for memories of other engineers, live century and to be photosenthetic gives a lot of free time and we have the specialized war preserver on board

Yes, but once the connection is severed; all he has is himself and his memory. It might help him learn a lot in the past, but not anymore.

Think of Khala as Internet. It’s very useful as long as you’re connected to it.

Im pretty sure that the DT saga made it clear that protoss only share emotions through the Khala, not information.

For memory access you have to be a preserver or use the Templar archives. I think you can communicate with the khala too according to that shadow of the Xel’Naga book, but that’s different than just downloading information into your brain.

I think you can instantaneous ask and receive some advice from other Khalai. With thought and information being transferred that fast, it’s near download information to your head.

But you don’t remember it. And you have to browse.

Yeah but that’s the same as normal talking, only faster.

Yes, that’s exactly what I meant. And so when the connected is severed, Karax is on his own.
