The forums have a metric called Trust Level. Newer posters need to build up trust to be able to post embedded content or anything that is clickable.

For lower Trust Level posters, unclickable links can be posted by using the Preformatted Text function on the URL, which is the </> symbol in the toolbar.

For example: www.google.com
