Whoever made skytoss a thing should be ashamed

And mine are a mere reminder to you that “Terran is the hardest race”

:rotating_light: :rotating_light: :rotating_light: SPOILER ALERT :rotating_light: :rotating_light: :rotating_light:

Dark is an absolute legend for trying to use swarm hosts vs bio but he messed it up. Swarm hosts and roaches have the same issues so if you double them up you have double the problems. Roaches don’t have burst, their upgrade scaling sucks, and they have a huge supply cost. It’s pretty easy to offset that with infestors – they fill in all the blanks. So you trade one more time with the roaches (but this time aided with infestors) & you remax with the swarm hosts and then do the nydus. Or you couple the swarm hosts with a supply efficient unit like ling bane infestor and that way you aren’t building a unit comp with overlapping vulnerabilities.

Did the Pros answer it ?

I knew you’d dodge it again. It’s what you do.

Who did you answer to ?

Also i answered it pretty often actually. I would say its the Border between semi pro and pro. Around 6.5k i guess ?

I Beat Players Up to 5k with each Race and i didnt have any Problem with a particular Race up until that Level. I think zerg is a bit easier because of map Vision, Speed and scouting but its only pretty good If you got good mechanics.

Omg u can’t counter teir 3 units that cost 4 expos and a crapload of gas and upgrades with marines? oh noooo… You realize Protoss ground units that can attack air consist of… Stalkers, that’s it, ground to air, Stalkers. Sure Sentry and Archon but Sentry doesn’t do any damage and Archons have a range of like 2, psi storm doesn’t work either, the range is too short and their move speed makes them nothing but targets. So when you’re complaining that you have to make actual units that aren’t just mass marines, which actually work vs skytoss if done correctly… I can’t, I just can’t, learn to counter, this isn’t checkers.

And what reason do you give to select that particular MMR?

He didn’t do it off a proxy hatch but instead past 4 base economy when Maru was already hitting with an 8 rax. Batz using all the gaslighting in his power to deny the strength of the roach.

Dark knows the roach, while trash, is sufficient to win, in combination with Dark’s superior skill, allowing him to redirect the ire of balance whiners at a unit that ultimately wouldn’t matter if nerfed. When Dark is sufficiently behind & can’t win any other way, he can bring out the better tools which, in those scenarios, look like trash because he’s fighting from behind. Dark’s a smart guy & knows if he abuses the strongest aspects of zerg, in combination with his insane skill, zerg would be immediately pummeled in 50 nerfs. The reason Dark uses roaches is specifically because they are giga-trash.

After all, why would Dark use swarm hosts? We all know swarmhosts are trash vs bio, yet dark used them. Clearly he isn’t using the strongest strategies. Why would that be? And if he isn’t using the strongest strategies, doesn’t that bring the strength of the roach into question?

I think it’s similar to the time that Reynor used them against Clem. Zergs are notorious for insane repeat rates and all the other technical jargon that pros use. Instead of a single swarm host he makes 13 accidently and just chose to go with it.

Maybe he accidentally rapid fired the roaches & decided to go with it. Your theory doesn’t make sense and here is why. Dark had a burrowed roach in position to place a nydus in a spot that would only be useful for swarmhosts. If you were planning on nydusing with the roaches, you’d go for inside the base. Swarmhosts nydus to the outside. He was definitely planning on making the swarm hosts & using them with the nydus. It makes no sense to place a nydus for 1 swarmhost.

EDIT: yep, just checked, he had the spotter roach in position before making the swarm hosts.

better success rate than accidently making broods that’s for sure.

What’s worse is accidentally hitting “T” instead of “R”. The only unit worse than the roach is the mutalisk and the only unit worse than the mutalisk is the baneling. Nothing is more painful than accidentally blowing a gas bank by making banes vs mech.

They should revert swarm hosts to what the community originally thought they were- AA baneling launchers.

I just played a 5700 eu protoss playing on a 4400 na account. Got +8. I always forget that upgrades are useless as zerg. Tech is way more important. Gotta get vipers and lurkers asap.

Still waiting on the broodlord recall clip. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz stop farming ratsdeezer.

Too busy farming pigs. This was my first time running into him, as far as I know, since the disruptor shot that saved him from losing his nat’s nexus. I get a scout on his 3 rax and that’s a horrible build so it’s a guaranteed win in a variety of ways. I decide to counter it with an infestor rush. I thought he was playing for real so I used a real build on him. 2 base infestor deletes the marine move out for free. It works vs 211 as well. From there you get carapace upgrades only, double expand, and go for ultras. So once you have 2 carapace + the ultra carapace upgrade you can kill a base. But he was silly enough to mine out the minerals to his natural so I just amoved in and he died. Didn’t even have to micro. Turns out he was doing a marine only challenge. Had I realized that I would’ve done something crazy like mass spine infestor and never attack. But I thought he was playing for real with a 3 rax. It would’ve been fun to put drones into a nydus and nydus each of his bases & build spines. From there I put infestors into a nydus and unload them any time he engages a spine cluster w/ the marines & fungal it all to death. It would’ve been a hilarious way to counter mass marine.
