It isn’t but sometimes it feels like you are mixing tournament earnings with balance because you are adding to the data lower tournaments/cups that does not have the highest level players on it. Totally OK saying P is getting some money, the fact is there, they just do not get high level wins, I guess is what protoss professionals are doing.
Now, claiming tournament wins and balance…that’s a totally different thing.

Yeah because the region lock severely limits their options. When they are given options, they utterly dominate. It’s not rocket science, kid. 20 or so tournaments where the best Protoss on Earth can’t even participate DOES NOT REFUTE hundreds of tournaments won by Protoss which collectively put Protoss in second place in total earnings.

Protoss imbalance is off the charts AND THE GAME IS SUFFERING AS A RESULT. Protoss play literally 2.3x more games than Zerg players.

On the other hand, the top T players which are KR are on the same boat, so it is not fair focusing on the protoss side and ignoring that the good T are not playing enough tournaments.
Protoss win most tournaments.
Protoss take second place in earnings.
Protoss are 45% of gm league.
Protoss have the highest win-rates of all races in Grandmaster / Masters.

And Protoss is only winning more in weekly tournaments. Premier, major, and Minor tournaments are won more by Zerg/Terran. Monthly tournaments are pretty much even between P/Z.
Match up stats since October 1 on Liquipedia put PvZ at 50.5% (the previous seasons this year all had Zerg ahead in win rates), PvT at 45.3%, and TvZ at 52.9%. h ttps://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Statistics/2020
Given the representation for Protoss looks quite high judging by mirrors, and Terran representation is a bit lower than Zerg representation, things are probably in an okay spot.
Either way… none of this really shows Protoss being OP. Recent Aligulac periods also have not been favorable to Protoss in the numbers.
Sure, but that’s because there are way more of them, and the ones where Protoss is winning more than the other races aren’t even classed as minor tournaments on liquipedia. They’re the weekly tournaments, which often have prize pools of $25, $50, or $100, or no prize pool at all.
Protoss might be doing well in high masters/low-mid GM on ladder (resulting in the higher tournament representation), but in tournaments, they don’t seem to be outperforming the other races, and Protoss has struggled to win premier tournaments for years, and that doesn’t seem to be changing any time soon.

Protoss win the majority of tournaments. They take second place in earnings as a result. They do this despite being severely limited in what tournaments are available thanks to the region lock. You say they don’t outperform the other races? That’s factually false. Fact denial is not a valid argument.
