After the game loads up and tries to authenticate it fails saying version mis-match I have version4.9.3.75025 I can see that I am 2 patches behind. So I closed the game, selected check for updates, and it says my game is already up to date. obviously it is not. Tried doing a Scan and repair no problems found. Is there a way to force the update to the current version? Also tried closing Battle net app still same
Did you try to delete the temp folder of Sc2?
It’s a standard procedure for patching problems.
After that you repair the game and you should be good to go.
Closed battlenet app again, and now it works. I don’t know what was different this time, but anyway its working.

I didn’t really find what I wanted to show you - sorry!
There was something about an Sc2 temp folder / documents folder that might solve your problem, if you delete it and then repair your Sc2 version / re-download all necessary files.
