There is no way to balance infestors in their current state when rapid fire can fill the entire screen with infested terrans before you can even blink. Any amount of damage = everything that’s not Zerg dies.
Anyone can do getting GM with only making “x” with Zerg, due to mass queens being able to solve world peace and cure every disease and grant invincibility to anything and everything.
It’s not even a mistake to have mass queens in the late game. A mineral only unit that you basically start the game with. A Zerg got top GM without even taking a single geyser… These are far more examples of how broken and oppressive units are than “feats of human strength.” It’s a feat of queen strength, first and foremost.
It’s hypocrisy to only allow 1 mothership core, yet Zerg is allowed to make as many of the equivalent as they want.
DISRUPTORS. This unit, alone, is the infestor, broodlord of P vs P. Anyone who masses this unit forces the other guy to outplay him by such a ridiculous degree and have so much more of an economy to win.
This unit couldn’t be any more oppressive, when in mass. Just think about it… the colossus was the best unit in P vs P in HotS and now no one makes a single one. Why? Because clowns are allowed to make as many disruptors as they want, completely removing them from the mu, because you can’t afford to lose expensive units for free…
If you simply limited the amount of disruptors that one can have to 5 or 6 at the most, then it would bring back strategy to the game. Stalker, disruptor is the most brainless strategy to ever grace this game. You can always tech to it. Need no economy and you counter everything. You force your opponent to be way better than you.
BW is the game of control group limits (12). SC 2 NEEDS to be the game of unit limits. It’s clear as day that SC 2 needs to start balancing around unit restriction limits for the most oppressive units and go from there.
More skill, more balance, more strategy, and who the h wants to watch monobattles or infestors just clowning on everything in the game? It’s a bad look for everyone.
