Unexpected Fatal Error

SC2 will not launch when I’ve tried hitting play. Just black screen into immediate crash. Game has been reinstalled, no One Drive active (it’s never on), User/Documents has be deleted when doing reinstall, drivers are all up to date, no anti-virus is blocking it. This just started randomly today.

I’m already frustrated with WC3 Reforged and it’s constant desyncing/disconnects, and now I can’t even play SC2. Severely annoyed is putting it mildly.

Hey, dragonblue! It looks like this may be caused by the drivers. If you’re using the 445.75 drivers from Nvidia, could you grab the hotfix drivers?

Let’s gather a DxDiag file if it persists. Copy and paste the text file created and paste it between two ~~~ like so:

If you have issues pasting here, use Pastebin and post the end of the link. (ie. 123456 for pastebin.com/123456)

Apologies for the late reply. I didn’t see a notification from here and this forum seems independent from the main blizzard one. So the other night there was a driver update I installed for Nvidea to 445.87 and now it works. I assume the 445.75 had a runtime conflict with SC2 at startup?

There was a bug with the 445.75 drivers causing issues with DirectX11 games such as Starcraft II. Glad to hear it was fixed  For anyone else running into the issue, you should be able to just update the drivers now. The 445.87 drivers were pushed by Nvidia on the 15th!
