Events occurred in alt history HotS that made Arcturus abdicate the throne to Valerian. Alt-Dominion has a setup like many a real world state where he retains the title, though he isn’t the one officially in charge any more.

yhea, that can be… the actual title don’t reflect the status of the commander.
Raynor title in co-op is still Renegade commander, even if he is now a Dominion commander, so “Emperor of the Dominion” don’t mean Mengsk is the actual Emperor, is just the title of the character.

My point - this is obviously bad. And all those things led to co-op death step by step till it happened.

And I think he’s one of the best commanders so far :smiley: .
Co-Op to me is the opportunity to play as some commanders (most likely) would, IDC about Good or Evil. I mean with all the things that make no sence you’re so picky, just enjoy the chances you get and be happy they give us new toys, and stop being personal offended by everything you don’t agree with.

I’ve been wanting to play two same commanders for a long time!

They made 2 Spear of Aduns when the gamemode was in beta. If it was bad for co-op, then co-op would never have been released, and most people would have never played a single co-op game ever.

Aren’t there technically two Spear of Adun’s whenever Artanis and Karax are on the field?

In the storyline, I recall there were multiple arkships, but there was only one of them called “Spear Of Adun”

In Coop, it seems to make sense to still only have one of them. If you have 2 COs who both use it, it’s massive enough that they could independently use them for their respective CDs/Top Bars.

Agree. With enough Solarit there could be technically enough for everyone.

I discovered the other day that if you play with friend and select the same commander at the same time, you can really play as two Commanders!!

I would love to see this! I can understand why Blizz hasn’t already, some stuff like passives would probably take a bit of extra work to either disable when cloned or work together properly, but it would be a LOT of fun to play with and could lead to some seriously goofy shenanigans.

Balance is… another question entirely; it might be best to limit it to not be doable in brutations or something. Though in all honesty I’m not sure if even that matters when Abathur exists, lol.

They’d have to figure out what to do with some of the passives, and whether they should stack or not.
For example, guardian shell, repair beam…

Personally I would be fine with them not stacking, that would pretty much remove potential balance issues while still giving us what matters. But I also wouldn’t complain about double Guardian Shell or double mastery’d Han and Horner salvage, heh. Not even sure how double Karax chrono boost+wave stacking would work… yeah, maybe no passive stacking would be safer.

Because it requires more programming, which they are not willing to do. When was the last time we got a new map?

For example, for 2 Artanis, you’d have to program the Guardian shell CD for each unit now that there are two guardian shells; 2 Stetmann, there will be two different stetzones, and that requires a lot of optimization of the code to prevent lagging.

Guess it’s also performance related. Don’t think engine can handle 2 Stukov’s spamming infested lol.

A long while back, a game with 2 Stukovs did happen. However, only one player got the ICC (Infested Civilian Compound).

I was thinking they should just make it a shared stetzone just like creep, but then I thought about what happens if each ally wants to switch to a different type of stetzone?
