TIL that Vipers cast EMP
And even viper run away for a sec to recharge and wow all ht empty free units
Yeah that was the uninformed argument Protoss made initially: Viper just recharges in 1 second.
In realty:
A viper takes 56 seconds to recharge if each consume is perfectly chained into the next and there is a 0 second travel time to the building consumed.
So in practice, feedbacking a Viper not only nearly kills it (in the case of full energy), it removes it from play for a full minute at least.
Again, your opinion is that of someone who has never in their life actually touched Zerg. It shocks me that you think casting a Feedback completely drains your HTâŚyou should at least look up the values on Liquidpedia before making these claims.
HTs can have 200 energyâŚFeedback costs 50 energy. That means 1 HT can feedback 4 Vipers and will recover 60 energy before a Viper will be recharged.
For fast recharge made 2 evo chamber in middle of the map catch feed back retreat recharge
My original calculation already assumed perfectly optimum situation:
Viper has 0 second travel time and can immediately start to consume
Consumes are chained perfectly without breaks
If feedback wasnât effective against Viper then why is it I see 4-5 HTs feedbacking vipers in every single late game Skytoss v Zerg at the professional level?
It was effective in old version now you just buy time some your sky army dont get yonked too early for free
If you donât understand how significant buying a minute is in a game like SC2 I genuinely question if you play it at all; or even watch professional matches.
But zerg still beats the Glasstoss. Just look at the GSL.
http://aligulac.com/periods/latest/
PvZ is literally at 55.46% winrate in favor of Protoss at the professional level and youâre upset about losing 1 tournament Must be nice.
At the same time, TvZ is at 55.29%. Zerg is literally the weakest race in the game.
âŚwhen the period has literally 500 total games and that pvz difference is less than 15 games. Are you the new Cheesetown?.
Just fix skytoss. Or a least make protoss need some skill. Itâs a joke vs Zerg right now.
Funny thing about this post, is that the only unit ever nerfed because people forgot to counter it, was the Observer, and it was because Terran players forgot to build Missile Turrets.
Protoss was the only race to EVER get a nerf, because it inconvenienced another race. On a unit that has no attack, and costs a bunch of Gas.
Please stop listening to Artosis, youâre going to become as brain damaged as him. Observers already donât die if you control them.
Balance Voids and Batteries! The game has become so stale and those 2 units are the big culprits.
I would love they reverted it!!! So that u see cheesers like maxpax will still loose when their wasted time for skill in cheesing comes short to superior players, and ur apm will still be 70!! U will not magically get more skilled
I wonder what would u want with mines? Not kill low HP probe in 1 shot? Like u just want probes to not die by mines.
What if a mine left probes on low HP but a single marine finished them off?
We can agree if they reduced mine HP - a revealed mine is dead mine no matter if it takes 1 hit less but how will this help ur skills??
Ohh I know u clump all ur probes to kill the mine but mine says BOOM and probes say POOOOF
Why donât we get more like u and Goba and Janus to tell us how garbage we are. U at least try while those noobs canât get past gold low plat as they donât even play⌠but they call others names and insult, and thatâs the prob with them not just their low no skillz
Observer speed was experimentally given more movement speed and reverted back to the original speed after tests in the meta.
An animation was added. At the same time sound was removed to compensate the animation-nerf.
A stationary mode was added to buff map vision. It allows the observers to be used like an upgraded overloards/creep tumors/sensor towers, which is arguably better than those options, but takes supply slots in contrast to those options for balance purpose. Putting observers in surveillance mode for map control is a gameplay that wasnât realistically possible prior the buff due to the occasional need of F2 sometimes.
Overall I feel like the observer was buffed in the 4 exisiting patches that affected it. This is probably debatable depending on how the speed buff and revert is interpreted.
Looking at units that have no attacks from the other races Infestor and Raven come to my mind. Infestor receiced a massive nerf by removing infested terrans completely. Raven received a massive nerf by removing the seeker missile completely too.
I just want to add this information so that new readers donât get the impression that blizz is biased towards any single race. I think that is a misperception that some diehard fans just want to have. While one race is often favored in a meta iâd highly doubt if that is the overall intent of the publisher. All 3 races receive their fair share of buffs and nerfs which is reviewable at anytime on the patch-history.
At the time of writing Protoss seems to be favored but by not so much. Some careful tuning and I think the game is in a good spot to leave.
You buy not a minute less
Apetoss on GM overrep: GM doesnât matter
Apetoss on Tournament Winrate: Tournaments donât matter/what about specifically GSL Code S?
Apetoss when leading by 54%: Itâs not 55+% so it doesnât mean imba
Apetoss when leading by 55+%: Aligulac doesnât matter for any balance periods even if they show a consistent trend
Itâs amazing how every statistic that disagrees with âApetoss is Balancedâ is somehow not applicable. Gonna pull in the old logic: If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, and is genetically indistinguishable from a duck; itâs a duck.
If it looks OP, performs OP, and is shown across multiple standards of balance measure to be OP: It is OP.
Keep crying apeterran, that wonât make you right.
At this point, I would just be happy to get a new map pool every season, but even this seems like too much to ask for.
The last two seasons were played on the same awful map pool, where the same 3 maps get though the vetos every time. If the next season is also played on the same maps, that would definitely affect my enthusiasm to watch the games.
Balance patch? Sure but the last balance patches proved that it could very well hurt the game moreâŚ
