SC1 is also 22 years old. It’s no Final Fantasy 7 to be sure but it’s got a pretty darn good story for its time and genre.

I think there is a certain phenomenon with video games.
Older titles have better story if we take into account their era, because it was something that wasn’t restricted by technology. So devs focused on it, because they wouldn’t focus on horse genitals like in RDR2. Which is generally considered to be a good game, but you get my point…

RDR2 is great but Rockstar’s design is generally outdated and obnoxious. Why can’t I drop weapons the game throws at me, oh why?
SC1 is okay. But it breaks down quickly under sustained analysis. There was a blog that analyzed SC1 in 10,000 word essays per episode, but the blog is offline now and no copy survives. I do remember that it pointed out many of the same flaws I did and more I didn’t notice.
Ask any critic of military scifi and they’ll tell you the same. But It doesn’t matter anymore because SC2 has thoroughly poisoned the well.
The plan is to shop the demo on crowdfunding platforms to cover costs.
I look forward to breaking your crowdfunder’s story under sustained analysis.

I think Gradius would be mostly interested in Protoss.
Edit: Personally I would not mind helping either, mostly on the Terran front.
Honestly Gradius is pretty good with Zerg lore and if you wanted someone to cover Protoss you can ask TBO.
