It literally ONLY exists to cheese. That is it’s only purpose. It ruins every game I play. Please just delete it until the developers can come with an idea on how to make it useful other than just instantly winning because someone hasn’t made their detector soon enough
Learn to scout.
If you don’t want to scout, just blindly build detection at the appropriate timing.
It’s super easy to defend against stealth builds, you can’t blame the game for you own failures, unless you’re a Terran player.
Cloaking has been a part of the game since the first Starcraft. It’s fine and it’s not gonna change.
What can change, however, is your attitude towards the problem you are experiencing. How about asking for help to deal with it instead of posting such harsh requests?
You can read Srav’s advice (ignore the notion about Terran). If you want more, you can also drop a replay of one of your games and I’m sure people will be willing to give you a lot of good advice on how to improve.
No way, you are in the starcraft forums too???
We are doomed…
I hardly ever find a use for Dark templar because of how easy is to scout them out.
you can always let them hold watchtowers /jk
That for sure but one of the new things now in PvZ is to hold the wall in the Natural with DT. A lot of roaches were slain from the assassins when no detection was present.
actually a good idea, it also invites zergs to try to lingrunby since w/o oversser u would think that space is ripe for some probegnawing until u realize there is something there beside some cannons who won’t let those lings pass …
so in a dt drop play i can see the dt holding that choke since you already have revealed the tech aviable, other than that interesting mindgame though
I’ve wanted to do clever things like that by leaving cloaked or hidden forces in my base for any sort of strike on it, lurkers, dark templars, etc. My macro/gameplay isn’t good enough for late game units like that right now.
Generaly is a good idea to mix a single DT with a squad of Zealots for a runby. Holding watchtowers is good also because it will draw attention and a Scan or Overseer after the DT kills once or twice the opponent.
Usually people are too involved with other things in order to keep track of what was that killed their units in watchtower.
A good use in PvT for DT is to study the map and find the most possible paths of reinforcements for terrans. Put a single DT in hold and the stupid terran will be very surprised that only half of his Marines will came and the Marauders are in life-support…
If you want i will give other tricks that are very effective in pissing-off the whineterrans a lot!
That was a normal strategy back in SC/BW. Probably because back then you couldn’t use a shortcut key to select all units and the bad habits that form with it. You could only select up to 12 and hotkey 0-9.
I’d suggest just ignoring HailFall. He’s a pretty well known troll in the Heroes of the Storm forum, and for whatever reason he’s slouched his way over to the Starcraft 2 forums.
Aha! The important reply! Thanks!
I am not a troll. Stop lying to people to make me look bad kthx.
Given your suggestion on removing stealth from the game, I would say that he doesn’t need to lie to make you look bad.
It needs to be changed to have an actual purpose… instead of just being an “i win button” if your opponent has detectors and useless otherwise.
Forcing your enemy to devote resources to making and protecting their detection is a purpose unto itself.
Not good enough though. All races except protoss have easy detection to make stealth useless.
This is pretty funny coming from a Valeera main tbh.
Are you kidding me? A stealth Observer that needs other detectors to pick up, or casting Envision from an Oracle to have your Tempests siege from long range, and you’re telling me Protoss has no easy detection to make stealth useless?
