Starcraft 2 crashes at startup

I’ve not been able to launch starcraft 2 for some time now, what can I do to solve this?

Hey there,

Looks like this may be a video driver related crash. Can you try launching the game in Windowed mode to see if that will work around the crash?

  1. Start the Blizzard app
  2. Select the game icon on the left
  3. Click on the Options menu (below the game logo) and select Game Settings
  4. Check the box “Additional command line arguments”
  5. In the new text box, type the following command:
    -displaymode=0
  6. Click Done at the bottom to save the changes, then hit Play to launch the game again.

If you are overclocking the RTX 2060 at all you may want to try removing that temporarily and seeing if the game will launch as well.
