SC2 won't install

Error pop-up is to run in admin mode (this is an admin account and forcing it to run in admin mode makes no difference - same error). Have tried all the workarounds including deletion of the folders (app data, local data etc) manually, re-installing, uninstalling, updated windows and all drivers. Sent a ticket.

The only solution which I have found is to make a new local account on Windows (standard and admin work) and the game will install and run (well) on that account only (with no error pop-ups). It won’t run on my original windows (local) account whatever I try. Annoying as that account has all the settings for daily work etc.

Any ideas on how to get it running on the original windows account?

this suggests that your original Windows account is somehow corrupted. the only advice i can give you is to transfer everything to the New account. just transfer everything in the users folder under your old account to the account folder belonging to the new account, which is also found in users.
