SC2 is struggling with HDR selection

Hi, I need some help, please?

I have recently got the Asus PG35VQ screen. But, playing SC is causing me some issues. Starting the game, and navigating the menus is fine. When jumping into a session though it starts fine for the first 20 seconds, then I get a blank screen, then the game comes back. This continues for quite a few times until what appears to happen is HDR is disengaged. Because the colours go a bit “greyer”, and dull out. However, the blanking out completely stops and the game is playable.

I tried playing the shader settings making them as low as possible, to medium then high, trying to either stop the HDR issue, but no joy. I have to ride out the flickering until the game puts itself at no HDR and everything stabilise.

Ultimately, I would prefer to keep HDR on as the colours are much better. However, it is impossible to play when you can’t see anything! Until of course it dulls itself out.

Anyone have some advice as I cannot find anything on this?

I have the same issue, im already try everything but HDR is going weird, so i decide turn off HDR

Howdy!

Overall the game does not support HDR. Though we could look to troubleshooting:

Does the issue occur if you disable HDR within Windows, and just keep HDR on via the monitor settings?

Well if I deselect HDR in Windows 10 the game plays fine. I am assuming there is an HDR issue with SC2?

The only problem is the game is dull when this setting is removed. Funnily enough the same thing happens with Diablo 3.

Do you know if there is a hotfix coming that could resolve this?
