For years I have played SC2 on my Lenovo Yoga.
Recently the bottom of the screen started to get blur as it heats up, so cannot read chats. Saw a Lenovo IdeaPad on offer, bought it, installed SC2.
On the IdeaPad, I can load and log in. I can also chat with friends.
But when I click on “Play”, it shows “Launching” for a while then it shows “Play” again. This is repeated each time I click on “Play”.
I have already clicked on the options to “Scan and repair” and to “Check for updates”, but it is still the same.
Is there some something else I need to do on my IdeaPad or on SC2 for it to “Launch” successfully ?
In cases where the Play button doesn’t seem to do anything, it’s 99% of the time something that is blocking launcher (an app) from launching the game (child app).
You’re going to need to dig around your antivirus, antimalware, firewalls (windows and/or 3rd party), user permissions, etc.

Thank you. Maybe the new antivirus on the new notebook is over-zealous. Will get IT friend to look into it this weekend.
Thanks again. Now can see light at the end of the tunnel.

Turned off the antivirus. still cannot launch.
Uninstalled, deleted files, re-installed, still cannot launch.
Checked firewalls, still cannot launch.
Any suggestions on what else I can do to make it launch ?

Has anyone successfully installed SC2 on the Lenovo IdeaPad and played on it ?
Have uninstalled and re-installed twice, but it still will not “Launch”.
There are a few people on other sites mentioning they play SC2 on it, it definitely works…
I would recommend trying the solution posted here, or open a support ticket if you need more help
