Inject has nothing to do with the Queen being viable.
Lets do the math here:
-Had inject for years and wasnt viable
-Had range buffed massively and nerfed inject, suddenly viable

Clearly you don’t understand the unit. It’s a base management/defender unit. It has inject so zerg can keep with with other races. Inject had nothing to do with “Viable” the base management part has always been viable as getting injects queens became a staple very early on. It was the defending part that they had trouble with.
Also, their range wasn’t massively buffed. In WOl they had their range buffed from 3 to 5 so they could help defend against hellions (That was like 7 years ago) and in legacy they had their AA range buffed from 7 to 8. Neither one was a massive change and neither one was just recently buffed. the AG buff has been in the game for years and the AA one was a slight buff and has been in the game since 2016 I believe.

How have queens ever not been viable?
Queens, and further, queens as part of early game defense / lategame pushes, have been part of the game since… there was a game for them to be part of, really.
If you want to whine, please at least stick to terms whose meanings you understand.

I’m confused, when were queens not considered viable? Was there a time when zergs didnt make queens?

It’s a Platys post. Don’t expect too much.
Lets just totally delete queens from the game and let hatcheries spawn larvaes 2x or 3x faster so zerg still can produce units like before without need of injections. Biomass spread spell would go to hatcheries so they could start spreading biomass tumors from the nearest hatcheries and then they could go further. Zerg would need to make actual units to defend himself.
If i had a dollar for every time someone made a dumb balance post, jeff bezos wouldn’t be the richest man on the planet
