keep looking and looking and still no release of new patch why is this blizzard just hit the launch button. or atleast say something about it
Be patient.
they dont even have a team working on sc2. its a dead game all the rts guys left years ago that made the game
The team that works on StarCraft II updates is a hybrid combination of a community-driven design group and a Blizzard legacy engineering team.
Because Blizzard no longer has a dedicated internal studio for the game, updates are split into two distinct parts:
-
The Design Team (External): The balance updates, economy shifts (like the major worker and resource changes in Patch 5.0.16), and map pool rotations are entirely designed and drafted by the SC2 Community Balance Council. This is an outsourced group of professional players, tournament organizers, and community mapmakers who build the balance mods and test them on the Public Test Realm (PTR).
[
-
The Development/Implementation Team (Internal): Once the community council finalizes the changes, a small internal Classic Games / Legacy Maintenance team at Blizzard takes the data. These engineers are responsible for writing the official patch notes, maintaining server infrastructure, executing client updates, and fixing underlying game engine bugs.
This collaborative workflow allows StarCraft II to receive massive meta-shifting patches without having an active, full-time development studio assigned to it at Blizzard.

@StimpyXXX Nice name btw.
You’re just spreading misinformation. The former balance council was disbanded a while back. Now it’s all Blizz, or specifically, Brad the Wc3 guy (formerly known as the Intern), who tinkers a bit when he can be bothered.
He’s pretty busy with Wc3 right now though, so we shouldn’t expect Sc2 to get fixed in a few months.
Wonder how many players will be left on the ladder by then?
Nice AI slop though. Try telling chatgpt next time to make it less obvious it’s AI slop. Less bullet points helps, that’s a dead giveaway right away..
using ai slop that is false is bad, lowko and winter are definitly not on the balance council.
scarlett and catz are off making zero space.
wardi has nothing to do with the balance council at all
as for the rest, who knows.
dont use chat gpt, its bad. your bad.
also quit spamming the forums with your post, there all the same cry fest. while i agree with you for the most part, there is no need to make 30 post of all the same thing.
A what in the balance council?
its amazing there are still losers afraid of trans people
I promise they don’t bite
I also promise that you’re a huge turd in real life
there are zero females in the balance council.
“Zero females” is a pretty strong factual claim. Please provide a source for your own claim.
And whether someone is on the council or not doesn’t change the actual balance issues being discussed.
I understand what the discussion is about. My point was simply that “there are zero females in the Balance Council” is a factual claim, and you haven’t provided a source establishing that.
If your point is specifically about Scarlett, then address Scarlett specifically. That still doesn’t establish the broader claim about the entire council.
There’s no need for “please don’t chime in.” If you disagree, just provide the evidence for the claim you’re making.
