Preparing game data

Greetings.

Every time I start the game, a window appears that says “Preparing game data,” and 598 MB is downloaded at a very slow speed, so I have to wait almost 10 minutes to enter the game. But the worst part is that the game runs in English, even though I chose Latin American Spanish when installing it. And even if I change the language within the options, when I run it after a restart or shutting down my PC, it goes back to English.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled both the application and the game several times. I also tried downloading the game on other computers, two in particular, and the same thing happens. My conclusion is that something is wrong with Blizzard’s servers.

do you have one drive

Thanks for responding, although I don’t understand your question.

The game is installed on my hard drive, in “C:\Program Files (x86)\StarCraft II”.

One Drive is like The Cloud System but more advanced or something and Onedrive can sometimes mess your Loading while making Lobbies and other stuff and if u don’t have it Active then that won’t happen

It has to be unsynced or shut off complete. Onedrive is microsofts stupid cloud storage option, that will auto upload stuff just like your c drive, except its not on your comp.

I don’t use OneDrive or any other cloud file sync software. OneDrive is installed on my PC, but it’s disabled. I don’t have a Microsoft account linked to my Windows 10 account.

I have the same issue. After pressing “Play” in Bnet at SC2, a dialog appears, where 605MB get downloaded with very low speed (takes 5-10min). And afterwards, the game launches, but not in the selected language (GER) anymore. Tried out several reinstallations, language changes etc, but it didn’t helped. A quick fix will be appreciated. Thx.

solved when i pick my native language in the option menu and restart game. i had to manually select the windows who can allow the game install something (i think it was on administrator way) when it restart.

This one worked for me. Had just the german version downloaded. Switched to English, started the game, switching ingame to german and start again.
Maybe works for other languages too. So just install it in english first and switch to you language ingame.
