Error message: “The version of Starcraft 2 required to play this game is not available”
Is there an ETA for the fix?
We really need this sorted for a tournament we are having and prior update replays were meant to be streamed… but can’t organise the event anymore.
Kind Regards

How can I understand you, our amateur tournament passed, and the streams on YouTube with commentators stopped at the group stage)
Blizzard fix it
Same for me, cant open this

Oddly enough, I can watch replays from 5.0.11 patch just fine. It’s only on the 5.0.12 version replays where that error message appears and the “watch solo” button is greyed out.
Is someone going to address this issue at some point? If there was some crazy security issue with 5.0.12 and that’s why it’s unavailable, that’d be one thing. But, right now it looks like a major bug that hasn’t been fixed for months now.
Hey folks,
Just for expectation’s sake, this likely isn’t going to be fixed.
Even if it wasn’t intentional, I doubt it would rank very high on the priority list. And with SC2’s development being retired over three years ago, anything that would even be considered would need to be at the very top of the list. For example, security fixes, game breaking bugs and the like.
I’m not speaking for Bliz, but I am speaking based on how Bliz has been administering SC2 since its retirement.
I think it’s worth removing the ability to watch replays from the game altogether with the next updates, it won’t interfere with the game, right? The game is retired.
It wouldn’t. You’re not wrong.
But your attempted sarcasm has holes.

Bliz isn’t likely to take any active steps to remove the ability to watch previous versions because that would require development. And as you succinctly pointed out, the game is retired.
-
Replays of the current version are natively built into the client, so they wouldn’t go anywhere.
Not to mention that I said it’s likely it wouldn’t be fixed, not definitively won’t, so again, holes in your sarcasm.
I didn’t just say that. I have no doubt that after this unfortunate update, the inability to watch the replay of version 91115 was due to someone accidentally getting their pants dirty. And yes, of course, it’s easy to fix, but they doesn’t care.
So much time has passed…
It’s more of a matter of the game being retired. Not because they don’t care.
You said what you said.
