Nova P3 is everything

I know it’s a P3. I know it takes forever to level that. But damnit, it’s worth it. Infiltration Specialist is absolutely incredible. This is the essence of Nova. A tactical, one-woman army utterly dismantling all defenses - and the enemy never even knows she’s there.

This is the first P3 I’ve used and oh my my was it worth every minute of grinding. Seriously, get grinding. It’s so good.

what is super cloak anyway? they are unable to detect her unless she attacks?

Oh indeed. She can go anywhere she wants, entirely undetected. Launching a sab drone doesn’t break cloak either, but attacking or sniping will. She won’t auto-attack when cloaked, which is nice.

She’s best used separately from the main force. Send her in to significantly weaken encampments before bringing in the main army. The cool part is that when you switch to controlling your main force, you can give her a quick move command to get to the next area. With super cloak, she won’t be bothered. When the battle is over, immediately switch back to her launching sab drones every 22 seconds.

Can’t select as target yet still affected from splash damage.

Another good reason to keep her away from battles. If no one is shooting, there’s no AoE.

I said this in a different thread, but a suggestion for Nova P3 might be so that when you use snipe you only go from super cloak to regular cloak, instead of being completely visible, this would add a fun dynamic of taking out detection first then HVT’s etc.

And if that’s too OP then make an extra disadvantage to combat unit vespene cost or something like that.

ATM the fact that if you use snipe you are fully visible really takes away from the infiltration feeling of the build and takes away all the dynamics because you just have to spam abilities only once you “infiltrate”.

Still a lot of fun as it is.

I still use snipe fairly often. Just tactically. For example, once a drone goes off, most ground defenses are done for. Then I’ll snipe from maximum range to pick off science vessels, ravens, archons, and colossus before the army arrives. My army is really just to intercept attack waves and clean up.

And if Nova is with the main contingent, she can use snipe basically as she normally would since there’s plenty of alternative targets.

Can’t wait for her to be meta on Eminent Domain by having her plug an enemy wall to stall all land enemies.

Maybe you could play with that like when firing to go from 1 seconds of normal cloak to three seconds of visibility. To incentive sniping em but keeping it balanced.

Expect a balance “fix” soon

I just wish there was an equally cool prestige talent for people who like to blink and shotgun things with Assault Stance. Maybe if they rework Nova’s Prestige 2 they could somehow bake that in.

Basically “Untargetable” but with different wording.

I found several p3 worthwhile so far, Nova definitely among them.

Yes, I like it as well, hopefully will be left untouched. Brings that ghost fantasy to the table, but boy sometimes I miss my shotgun

How often do you use the shotgun beyond the first few minutes of the game? It shreds in the early game but after about 5-6m it ages badly. And in return she gets the biggest freaking nuke in the game on a short timer. I’ll make that trade any day of the week.

Which other ones do you think are worthwhile?

Well, outside of Nova. I found Dehaka, Zeratul, and Artanis P3s all very good.

That is not to say their P1 and P2 are bad at all but being on the forum (as I’m sure you know) a lot of it sometimes get way skewed by the vocal few’s opinion.

There are definitely some that are really overall not very useful/fun. However, it seems on here something is either OP or sucks. Somehow mediocrity/“being just ok” is worse, such as say Nova’s P2. Like it’s definitely not a go-to for probably most but it isn’t too bad, whereas P1 is a bit overrated. I find them both about the same, which is so-so.

If i face zerglings-banelings? All game is spend in that mode really. And even outside of that, if you are not switching often you just waste potential with lvl15 talent. There is a lot of light units in the game, and you can delete entire waves (adepts, vultures, marines, etc) of them, not to mention blink-shield for a role of a tank + holo. Trust me, you giving up quite a lot for some nuking.
But like I said, I do enjoy that prestige, for now anyway

P3 Nova with Swann’s laser drill seems pretty unstoppable.

Tried all 3. P3 is definitely the strongest of them all. You only need to accomodate the early game because you won’t have the shotgun, and the swarming comps early can be handled by additonal units - or some direct counter, like hellbats or bashees. You need to multitask both forces though to make it worthwhile.
