My tv randomly crash when i start or exit starcraft 2

the game starts up but, i have to either restart my tv or take the hdmi cable in or out. it is a sony bravia tv.

thats probably you using a custom resolution that doesnt play well with you tv and computer. also seeing as how you are using a really old laptop ( since you posted your gpu in the other topic) , you might want to think about just upgrading everything at that point, cause most likely its your whole rig being a main problem.

Using external TVs isn’t supported by Bliz.
Meaning, it falls on the community to work out any technical issues.

The two things to try are;

  1. Set the game to Windowed mode.
  2. Set the game’s display resolution to match that of your computer display.

leviathan i hate to tell you this but your dead wrong, almost every modern day tv is also a monitor. I litterally play full screen on an older samsung day in and day out, and most of my bigger (monitors) over the last few years have all been tvs. So your absolutely full of it on that one.

in this gentlemans case he is running an ancient graphics chip( laptop varient at that, Nvidia gt630m) with a modern tv, and which i already stated hes probably having resolution issues between the ancient gpu and the modern tv. Frankly with what hes probably running hes better off taking the laptop tossing it in the garbage and buying something modern.

This is also why and most likely the case as to why he always seems to have alot of problems that hes been posting about for as long as i remember and you remember for that matter as you were the one who has been answering most of his post about problems. which now were getting down to the real issue of his problems. which its about time.

Oh! I was just meaning to say that Bliz doesn’t support their use. I’ll clarify that above.

and thats relevant how right now?

Just to inform the OP that Bliz won’t assist with their crashing problem here or through a ticket. It’s on the OP to get it working.

um, thats pretty much anything now a days right, so not much of a change considering blizzard barely ever fixs any problems when there mentioned unless its a giant game breaking bug, ( your words exactly btw). so regardless of what blizzard does he can still come to the forums and ask the community, and we sure dont need to be told that blizzard wont help becuase something aint supported, cause again most of us know we aint getting help from blizzard either way.

the issue is random. my tv is 4k but, the game`s max resolution is fullhd and it is set at that, which is the same resolution as the operating system. the drivers is fully updated. i do not know about the drivers for my integrated gpu however. the integrated gpu runs the system, which the dedicated gpu kicks in when i try to start the game.

what is all your system specs, cpu, gpu, weather its a laptop or desktop, cause in the other thread you said you had a nv 630m, which is a laptop gpu, so are you using a laptop or a desktop cause now your saying you have a seperate gpu as dedicated. like your making this really confusing on what your system actually is, cause if you have a laptop you only have one gpu, as far as i know there is no laptops with cpus that have integrated graphics, not saying there isnt but i have personly never heard of one. So if you could kindly give your specs and all that then maybe someone will know what might be happening.
