I’m organizing some competitions using old Blizzard maps and several are missing from the Custom list.(At least the official Blizzard versions.) These might have been maps that were falsely reported by bots but not restored.

are sure they werent just changed, i know a couple years back when we finally got new team game maps, that instead of making NEW maps blizzard got lazy and just edited a bunch of maps, taking out gold bases and other things, then released them to us calling them NEW maps.
You’re thinking of the CE(community edition) versions of some team maps. The original LE(ladder edition) versions remained on the Custom map list and didn’t lose their Blizzard labels. There are a couple maps on my list where one of multiple versions disappears but not many.
Just to clarify, I’m not talking about the maps currently in the map pool. Just maps that used to show as Blizzard Maps in the Custom games list but aren’t there anymore and the Blizzard versions also aren’t showing up in searches.

yeah i do beleive they were ce that replaced the le editions. flashback was i think one of them, if im not mistaken. and yeah i figured you meant older maps that are missing. i didnt like those ce maps, the original ladder maps were so much better, and it was just a lazy way of making new maps for the community at the time.
Does anyone know where they went or how to play them?
Having the same issue. Lots of the Blizzard maps are coming up as unavailable. Hope it gets fixed soon :<

It’s like half or more than half of the Blizzard maps that we could use on custom games are now missing. A couple of days ago, I noticed that they introduced a few new maps, and everything was fine. But now a big number of the old maps just disappeared. What is this all about?

After more research, these all appear to be Blizzard-created Wings of Liberty or Heart of the Swarm maps that still worked perfectly fine with Legacy of the Void.

About the original Blizzard Starcraft maps, the “Heart of the Swarm” and “Wings of Liberty” maps are missing. The only category that has maps is “Legacy of the Void”. Please restore the missing maps.

I looked again and now a whole lot more Blizzard maps are gone. Out of the ones that I’m still seeing, only two are ones that weren’t on the ladder in 2024 or 2025!
And yes, when choosing Wings of Liberty or Heart of the Swarm in Custom, there are no maps available on either.

Sand Canyon is missing too. Of all the maps, Sand Canyon is particularly difficult on 2 human vs 4 comps. There are around 15 mods of the map that gives it tons of minerals or gas or weakens the comps, thus it’s no fun to play.
That’s why we want the original Blizzard map back, not the crap mods of the map.
Still waiting for the maps.
It would be nice if Blizzard replied to this thread, just to confirm the issue is being addressed.
Is there any other way to access the hidden maps?
They’re not hidden. They’re removed. People who have some of them bookmarked still can’t get at them.

I am missing maps in custom/melee. Are they coming back?
where is leviathan why hasnt he said anything about this.
I usually only post if Bliz responds to my reports, that way I know that they know. But for these current issues of missing maps, missing career history and clan issues, I haven’t heard anything.
It might help to get Bliz’s attention by inundating other SC2 social media as well as here.
