I know the result of maxpax vs clem can be frustrating for terrans who know for a fact Clem is the better players. I agree protoss is too strong right now but that is not the point of this post. I just wanted to highlight how insanely creative maxpax is. Even after actual YEARS of LOTV being out, the madman does it again and keeps creatiing new and innovative ways of playing the game. I know special and bunny sometimes create / innovate some small technical stuff but nobody in the entire playerbase can shake a meta up like him. Remember the maxpax meta where everybody protoss and their mother was opening proxy 1 gate to pressure the terran ? Well now i think a lot of players will actually try the new tempest drone harass against zerg. It looks so powerful and refreshing. What a madlad !! Thoughts on this from zerg players? I’d advise watching the video from Harstem about if for more info.
Maybe some of his viewers can tell? How does he come up with that stuff? Just a natural genius or does he play and does a lot of try / error against AI?
His invention of the MaxPax build was truly a turning-point in PvT. It’s like when Gumiho found out that you can solve the roach/muta dichotomy issue with a double-thor medivac drop in late HotS. It completely changed the meta. When before you had 50/50 odds of flat out dying to a zerg who went either mutas or roaches (given you had to choose tanks or thors) the double-thor drop completely changed TvZ meta since it countered both options. A thor drop could easily dismantle roaches with load/unload micro and/or having massive counter-attack potential and also beat mutas (obviously).
I heard maxpax approaches the game a lot like astrea, instead of just grinding ladder he’ll take a few days and write out all his ideas in a notebook. Apparently it’s a few hundred pages long. I hope he releases it to the public one day, I’m sure people would want to buy it.
Lol. I think it’s kinda hilarious and karma/taste of one’s own medicine. For a while now, I’ve been like you guys know the only thing KingCobra has actually done that might be unique to himself is going fast tempests vs Zerg. I didn’t play when the tempest moved fast or killed units, so no idea if anyone tried it then.
Point is, KingClown loves to try to act like he deserves credit for disruptor, carrier cause “he’s got 5 more MMR than me on a server I haven’t played in years,” basically. Smart guy…
I wonder what his reasoning is for why he should be known for fast tempests vs Zerg. I mean, max is higher MMR. You gotta love when stupid people have to face their own stupidity/scams. Really funny. I just wish you guys would actually create your own stuff more often, so this could happen more. After enough times, you might grow up and stop scamming and playing make believe.
Finally a feels good man. All that wild energy for 1 or 2 builds, but if they realize it was me… oh man… the boogie man. There’s a memo that went out that says we have to act like anything Playa has done is the worst. He’s a really bad guy, too. I don’t know how you guys sleep at night, maybe you don’t and it’s the sleep deprivation showing.
Seems like we have one top level young genius per race (Reynor, Clem, Maxpax). I’m not following the pro scene closely at the moment, so correct me if I am wrong on that. It’s beautiful nonetheless.
Because he appropriated the build when Playa was not playing/streaming his games and rushed to bribe Besty to attribute the game to MaxPax.
The same with KingCobra.
All those EU Pros (one is Danish the other Russian) all day and night roam the web to see Playa (that does not even play the game) and rob him blind.
That guy is an idiot troll. I already posted on reddit. Facts are facts. The guy literally did every build I have done, being the only other GM in the world doing so… yet… it’s supposed to be “funny/doubtful.” And now… they’re praising him for something that was the ONE THING KingCobra actually did that was unique to him. It’s hilarious. At least Max is an equal opportunist it appears.
What a genius, indeed. No one has ever copied builds to this level, while getting others to believe they’re creating things.
Imagine doing a build for years straight before dude even played the game. Coaching it. Doing as well on ladder as anyone could possibly do. Yet, it’s supposed to matter that dude “came up with the replicate years later on his own.” Somehow discovery years later is more novel/noteworthy. And, you’re supposed to completely gloss over that every other build was a rip off, too… It’s like wow… talk about desperate to fit a narrative.
Then some will ofc be like it’s cause he was so much better and he first figured out how to beat pros and yada, yada. After KingCobra gave me grief, talking about he’s higher MMR so he deserves all the respect (cannon rushes to inflate MMR), I looked at a pic. I was ranked higher on EU than Max, when I came back from being inactive and playing with 200+ ping. That’s well after Max was already “a legend for creating nothing.”
I really wish I could stop talking about this. It’s absolutely absurd. I’ve created way too many builds to be fixated on any one thing and there’s just no doubt here. It’s just a waste of time and stupid. At least give me something worth debating. You know, where it’s not black and white. Boring.

Alright, maybe the build isn’t quite that solved/good yet. I can see it becoming “the thing,” though. Don’t just let have max all the fun/smarts.
